It's a myth that there is a classy Alabama fan base. They are rednecks beyond belief and not the genteel southerners that exist in many southern states but the "Deliverance" kind that I see continually every time I have to go to that awful state for business.

I do not have the time to read all the responses, so I will just say this is what Aubies have dealt with for decades. It is why Aubies cannot stand the bammer fan base when it comes to all things football. Just think how bad the gumps were in the 60's and 70's and what Aubies had to put up with right in our face.
Bottom line is with message boards now, the rest of the SEC gets to see what bammers are like regularly and it is no wonder they are the most hated fanbase.

We're not all bad, Miami. I live next door to a wonderful family who are all BIG TIME Auburn fans. We do stuff together.... their kids learned to swim in my pool... my son goes to church with them.... their son is my son's best friend... etc. Little guy always comes over in his Auburn jersey... I yell "ROLL TIDE!" at him... and he comes right back at me: "WAR EAGLE!" I'd die for either of their kids. No shite.
