Two of my three predicted losses were listed in your post.

I like how you use stats to make your point...then say that the stats don't matter (because the other stat isn't as supportive of your point.) I also like the fact that you are still beating the drum of returning starters...."My same shitty players are going to be back, thus, we are going to have a good defense"

My only reference to 'stats not mattering', as you put it, is when it comes to giving up or gaining yards.
Giving or gaining yards, on either offense or defense, is irrelevant in light of points on the board.

Experience and growth are thrown out the window and improvement isn't possible?
Come on. This is a complex defensive system that was manned by very young players and I expect drastic improvement this year or somebody needs to be replaced ASAP.

Bobby Petrino wouldn't know a complex defense if it was sitting on his face!

My thoughts exactly.

If the defense is so complex and clearly they are not understanding it why does he continue to run it?
Petrino is going to continue to find it really tough in this conference if he doesn't put more emphasis on defense and defensive recruiting. Purely offense doesn't win you SEC games.

Your right I forgot that Petrino was known for devastating defenses.

Our defense wasn't very good but we get them all back!
Kinda kidding, I'd expect moderate improvement... but to win the SEC you generally have to be near the top of the conference in defense

How many Arkansas fans on this board actually think that Arky will win the SEC w, let alone the SECCG?
Not that many.
But this is silly.
Florida had a crappy defense in 2007, and then won the national title in 2008 with the same defense.
Improvement can happen. Sometimes dramatically.

I'm on a Blackberry so sorry to not 'quote' and all that.
To the poster above (t-bird?) that asked why Willy Robinson continues to run a complex system if kids aren't picking up on it, this has been an issue for almost 3 years and a reason we expect Willy to perform this year or be fired.
Willy came in 3 years ago with an NFL playbook and the kids simply couldn't handle it. So last season he dumbed it down and we shaved 6pts per game off the previous seasons average.
This year Willy claims to have dumbed it down even further.
Willy isn't Nick Saban. He does not take a hands on approach and by all accounts tells kids to just 'read their playbook' opposed to doing some hand holding.
Like I said in my original post I expect us to move from 9th to about 7th in PPG which should be enough to win a couple more games.
In any case, I wouldn't mind letting Willy go back to the NFL.

Like I said....clueless. Look at his defenses at Louisville and you might be surprised.
