AJC is pretty selective in what they ‘investigate’. If Kirbs was a Stacey supporter, you wouldn’t hear a peep.

Writer Alan Judd is a graduate of Western Kentucky University.
He is part of the AJC's "Muck Rack" team - investigative writers who go looking for dirt whether it's there or not. He's been with the AJC since 1999.
Knowing the AJC is a left-wing fishwrapper (like most newspapers across the country), someone in the AJC dispatched him to go after UGA, especially since UGA won the 2021 national title. Win two-in-a-row, and the heat gets poured on you.
Every college football program has similar (and worse) problems than what has reportedly been happening at UGA, much of it not even reported, either.
So far, his writing has been coming across a bit like a hatchet job. We'll see.

The AJC has been hostile for awhile. Not sure what the cause is. Probably clicks?

Can anybody guess which of the three has been on probation for paying players? Just give it a wild guess.
But it is usually Auburn fans that point fingers and claim everybody else is paying.

You make it sound like the AJC is trying to screw Georgia over or has a vendetta against them. If this report is true this is Art Briles type stuff, Smart and Georgia are in the wrong not the AJC for reporting it.
Maybe if Georgia wouldnt keep doing morally questionable stuff the AJC wouldnt be reporting about it.

Its working. AJC has been in the media and on sports talk radio for 2 days...that ain't happened since reconstruction.
