the NCAA makes those decisions because they do not want to give coaches credit if the lose on the field or mess with coaches bonus in their contracts. They expect everyone to take it as a lose

Where is any of that written? Not sure what they taught you in the army back in ‘Nam, but around here, words mean things. What you are doing right now is attempting to rewrite entire procedures & outcomes that are available to the public - because you have some make believe idea of a fairytale intention that isn’t written anywhere.

No, the NCAA affirmed and clarified their decision when questioned directly by USC. Of course, you’d know that if you weren’t the laziest motherfricker on planet earth.

quote:

according to USC sports information director Tim Tessalone, the program was instructed in 2010 by Jim Wright, then the NCAA director of statistics, not to include participation in any games that year as part of its official records. That edict included the Rose Bowl.

"I have documentation in a letter sent in July 2010 to Wright noting all the changes he instructed us to make, including that losses had to be vacated," Tessalone said in an email. "The letter also states that he had reviewed all our revisions and approved them."

When asked to clarify how the NCAA officially views USC's record from 2005, Jeff Williams, the associate director of media coordination and statistics for the NCAA, provided a link to the organization's list of USC's season-by-season records. It lists the Trojans as 0-0 in 2005 and notes that 12 wins and the Rose Bowl loss were vacated.

Dumbfrick, the NCAA uses those term to protect themselves and the Universities against legal battles. How much did USC pay Carroll for that "National Championship" in 2004? How much did they pay in bonuses to him in 2005 for a Conference Championship and an 11-win season? Did Bob Stoops get his bonus for a NC in 2004? How about Mack Brown? Of course, according to you that never happened.

You dumbfrick do not realize that is why the NCAA doesn't use words like forfeit and vacate NCs, because they only control the record books (that nobody cares about) and do not crown a NC at that level. They would have to be drug into court if those wins became an issue.
