All he had to do was throw the ball - he could have thrown it out the back of the endzone. Pissed away a chance for 3 with the kicker having the longest range in FBS. How does Appleby not understand this by now, after 5 years of college football?
I've just about had enough of Mac's offense but damn it's hard to totally write off his offense when he's had to deal with Treon and Appleby.

During Muschamp it was said that he was ruining the QB, rather than the QB ruining his offense. Now it seems to be the QB ruining Mac's offense.
I think... Hell, I don't know any more. It's just one head scratcher after another.

Look, I say as a fan of a team with an idiot as a head coach who I think was an awful hire, so I am not casting stones
Mac isn't the answer. His offense has gotten worse than Muschamp, and being the 8th ranked SEC team in recruiting while at Florida in your 3rd year is awful

This is the problem with the Pro Style offense-- spread teams don't seem to go through droughts at QB nearly as often.

He's a mid level coach, he's not elite (his recruiting is horrendous and his offense is good not great at his best).
I'm not quite sure why Foley went with one unproven Saban acolyte to replace another unproven Saban guy-- if we had hired Mac after a big search it be one thing but its like "former Saban coordinator" was a job requirement so Foley just jumped on him the moment he was forced (it wasn't his call) to let Champ go. I swear its like he wanted to prove he was right on Boom but just got unlucky.
