In all my time of watching college football I don't know of a team that was better.

In this season, I think only Florida got within a TD and you know that game was never in doubt.

I disagree. 2019 LSU was very close. No one can doubt that. Best team. Until 2020. I mean Bama beat y'all 55-17.

I drank 3 Coke Zero's last night watching Bama beat up on Ohio State. That was about it. Ate some chicken wings but didn't do any "drinking".

2019 LSU was fine, they had some good moments.

Well disagree away, just don't poison any trees. But the fact that you admit Bama was "close" is a great start to enlightenment. Just gotta get the delusions of grandeur down a little and you may be able to overcome your genetic setbacks.

Well I said it to be nice to you fellows. 2020 LSU was very mediocre. I mean 5-5 isn't so great. You guys got beat by State which is a terrible team (for now). You also didn't do so well against Alabama this year but I'll just leave it at that. I'm sure you'll get better next season.

There isn't a way to compare this 2020 team to other teams (or to 2019 LSU - which is partly the purpose for this thread).

Not same number of games vs. no scheduled "rent a wins"

Different schedules (no big time OOC regular season game vs. more conference games).

Different circumstances (empty stadiums/no crowd noise vs. living in a bubble and screwy college environment).

No Spring and abbreviated Fall camps resulting in lack of preparation for early games vs. teams are "fresher" and are all on the same level as to preparation.

NCG against a team with key Covid "casualties" that also played a much shorter schedule and was better rested - wash

++++++++++++++++++

I personally believe LSU's 2019 season was better. I acknowledge I have a bias, but I think that there's enough objective evidence to support that position. That said, I will not fault Bama fans from thinking 2020 was better.

Best offense I’ve seen.
No qualifiers.

Not sure how to evaluate modern defenses with the current constraints of the rules favoring offenses.

The defense was complimentary, but not dominant.

By far the most reliable kicker Coach Saban has had at Alabama.

If that level of kicking was present from 2008-2020, maybe 8 natties.

Totally fair point.

It was a different seasons. We're the champs. We get to celebrate it like any other season but ultimately we'll have to come back to defend it. Doubt we'll repeat but should defend it ok.
