We're talking about recruiting, but thanks for playing.

U cant argue with a Phyllis, MenloDawg.
I cant believe the OP started this post. But see how quickly he went into defense mode. There's plenty to criticize but they are blindly loyal.

Agreed. There is certainly some talent there that could have started on a lot of teams, but that class seemed to lose a lot of playing time to the excellent classes before it and after it. Nice observation.

Excellent point. I'm not sure there's a school in the SEC that was better.

He's a fullback. They are not supposed to do anything memorable. Also, try getting playing time at HB at a school where your competition is Mark Ingram, Trent Richardson, Eddie Lacy, TJ Yeldon, and Derrick Henry.

Cade foster was a place kicker who missed literally every field goal he ever tried in game situations where the kick actually mattered. The only one I ever saw him make was the one in last year's iron bowl where it got called back on the bullshite false start

[quote]One of the worst players to every wear the crimson tide uniform. Cost Bama multiple games and a chance at a 3rd title in a row.

Says the guy who:

a) has performed on a prime-time stage in front of a national audience.

b) rode the bench of his high school football team.

c) lives in his mommer's basement.

d) both b and c

Larry, we all know the Bama recruiting hype is way overblown. You're not telling us anything new. I'm sure this class was probably rated top 5 by some services. For example, Bama allegedly picks and chooses who it wants from GA. But, the only above average player I can remember during Saban's tenure from GA was Chance Warmack and you got him because we didn't offer. Mistake on our part, but we didn't get "beat" in the strictest sense of the word. Some of the other guys were hyped up after Bama "swooped in and stole them," only to have middling, mediocre careers.
This coming from a fan of the fighting Mark Richts is especially humorous. Bama winning three nattys the past five years and being a play or two away in two other years, coupled with the win loss record the past six years says our recruiting has been nothing short of outstanding. As far as not getting GA players that Uga wants, what a crock of horse manure. Saban has signed no fewer than a dozen GA players with UGA offers the past 6 years. Maybe more. But to the point of the OPs post, yes 2010 ended up being Saban's most disappointing class to date. Still, a class that produces the likes of Mosley, Milliner, White, etc would be a solid class at almost any other school.

I haven't really followed recruiting very much. Very little, actually. Mind naming the Georgia players Alabama has gotten that Georgia offered?

I'm not arguing or trolling. It's hard to argue or troll a team with Alabama's record of late.

Sure, just a few according to rivals.com, could be more....
Kamara, tyren jones, Brandon Greene, Geno smith, Xavier Dickson, drake, Dakota ball, dillon lee, Tomlinson, fanning, Hubbard, Blake sims, Bolton, elder. Uga also missed on chance warmack big time, and we will sign his younger brother with a Uga offer this year.

Hey Larry,
I was interested in your opinion on the best pornography. Do you think you could post several photos of your favorite stars in hot action? I think it would be very helpful to all viewers on the rant.
Kind regards,
Everyone

I bolded the ones that UGA really fought for, although Kenyon Drake is questionable there as UGA seemed to be fine with looking in other directions after he committed.
Dillon Lee is also on the fence as UGA did want him, but didn't seem too put out when he went to Bama. From someone who has followed UGA recruiting for a while, none of the other ones really were mentioned much late in the process. And you can always tell if the staff really wants someone by how often they are mentioned late in the process. One really can't go on offers-- certainly a Bama fan should know that- plenty of guys have "offers" that can't commit to a school. Hell, at Bama, sometimes the "committed" can't even sign.

Thanks! I knew the state had been raided a bit last few years, but it is hard to compete with the success Alabama has had. I know some of those worked out very well for Bama, others not so much. Of course, the same can be said about any schools recruits. Some do well....others....

How many of those would you consider were impact players? Warmack, of course. Tyren Jones is still hard to say, however, it is not looking good considering the other talent at RB. Geno Smith, of course.Blake Sims a miss. Kamara a miss. I'm not recognizing most of the others.

It didn't really turn out as good as it should have on paper but honestly there are over 100 teams that would have swapped in a heartbeat.

I agree, and I thought so at the time. It was a weaker class compared to the 08 and 09 classes. The 11 class was better, but not on the level of 08 and 09. 12 and 13 were on that level though, and 14 straight up lapped them.

Of course we're talking on paper.
