Good refreshing take from a horn. I've yet to hear one tx fan admit in any way, shape, or form that it's even remotely possible that Arch might not totally meet expectations. I really came to kind of like Ewers.

I think very highly of Quinn as a person. He took care of business, the team loved him, and he was a great example for the program. He's just not a great quarterback. In fact, I think he regressed from last season. Sark should have told him to go pro last season. He would have been taken a lot sooner than round 7 for sure.
As for Arch? I want to see how he looks against OSU with a full offseason as the starter before crowning him anything. He may be all that. He may not. I can't wait to find out.

They will never win anything. Losers when it actually matters.

I think this could/shoud be Tex's year to do it. Hard to say with what Michigan and some others are paying.

uTX needs to do it soon or some crazy profit sharing and a harder SEC schedule..(which shouldnt keep them from the playoffs)..may make things worth watching.

Right now the unlimited portal and some states projecting no tax on football player is ....well just more crazy.

Bottom line...UTx needs to win it. and it means going thru the SEC. ...it will make you tougher.

Arch was better Sark didn't want to do Quinn dirty if it was anywhere near close

Yeah, I’ll admit. I wondered that same thing all season.
QE was always a good teammate, especially for Arch, and put in the work and earned his spot.

But QE at less than 100% was not always the best option.

Texas had a very good team, but not always the best team. Injuries and depth, play calls and missed FG had as much to do with the disappointing end as QE’s performance.

QE helped to lead and build a solid foundation with a locked-in and focused group of young men. That is to be commended.

damn. posted twice.

Team is what it's about. Alabama was 1 quality center that could snap the ball to a QB that couldn't improvise if things went sideways.

He was on a championship team at tOSU...crazy. Was Saban unable to teach the snapper what to do?

...or was he getting so old no coach wanted to work for him unless they needed a new start?
.

Some are acting like Ewers had a bad year… and projecting to suggest manning not beating him out means he’s no good

Ewers had a very good season for a college qb also while banged up (if Manning had put up similar numbers as a redshirt freshman he would be lock for heisman favorite rn)… there were rumors of locker room favoring manning as better qb last year but I think both were prob pretty close to equal in ability… coaches favored experience and installed offense over long term potential and that makes sense

2024 year was always going to be Ewers’ final run as qb1 for the longhorns and 2025 was always going to be Manning’s first year running the show.

Last seasons QB performance has nothing really to do with it one way or the other. Though some bad coaching decisions in final seconds did cost Texas chances at sec title and playing in national title game

Tennessee got their shite pushed in. Their good RB was out, but I;m not sure it would've made a difference....in the win/loss...he could've made a bit of difference.

and FUK Tennessee. FUK em like the slut bitch they are.

Couldn't agree more. Quinn gave us his all. I am rooting for him.

Ehh it came down to the Ohio state game
They were the most complete team in CFB. Quinn actually played pretty decent in that game. Not sure arch would have done much better if at all

Yea Cameron Williams played like crap. We were also severely missing CJ Baxter in that game.

Losing Baxter was really felt against the better defenses likes OSU and UGA. I wonder if he can be Elite after injury. He showed elite flashes his freshman year.
