Deserve is an interesting phrase. It implies all schedules are equal. All opportunity is the same. Texas went through a gauntlet with a roster who was in the top 5 of underclassmen snaps in the country. They ended up winning 3 out 5 Top10 matchups. Thats more than a handful of playoff teams combined. You can’t just stick your head in the sand and say Texas isn’t a Top12 team in the country like it’s all black and white. You know Texas is a better team than Oklahoma, A&M, Vandy, Utah, BYU, etc. All these teams who are solid, I respect them. They would all get mauled by Ohio State. Put an actual heavy weight in that mf.

Unlike your 1970 "Championship" where you got waxed in your Bowl Game our 3 Nattys were all undefeated, the 1919 one was unscored upon for the entire season. We could actually claim 1917 as well, also undefeated and unscored upon.

I'll consider it if Bama turns over that 2011 Championship trophy since we beat the Gumps fair and square in Tuscaloosa earlier that year and they didn't even play in the conference championship game. Or simply admit that LSU was the better team that year with a 13-1 record (0.929) over Bama's 12-1 record (0.923) after all was said and done.


The real reason though:
Aggie has only one loss. UT@Austin has three.
Okie has two losses. The steers still have three (and one of them to a dilapidated and demoralized Florida team).

With your logic, we could go on to the point that Florida should be in the playoffs.
