It helps OU in the rankings. It launches them up higher in the polls early in the season. Beating Tulsa doesn’t do that.

Just like LSU beating Clemson really helped them in the rankings for multiple weeks.

And if OU were to be compared against Michigan for playoff seeding, the OOC win over Michigan would help them there also. Wasn’t applicable this year.

What has Sark done on the road in SEC to give you confidence he goes 3-0 in those games?

Best road win would be against an unranked A&M team by 10 points. Every other road game has been a loss or near loss to a bad team.

Won at Alabama, won at Vandy, won at Michigan, won continues to win at a neutral site against OU.

Nobody even knows how good ND is this year. They've lost to the only teams they've played (A&M and Miami) and other than that they haven't beaten a team ranked in the top 30. Mizzou is on their 3rd string QB, just no. LSU while talented is not good. Lets stop acting like @Mizzou or @LSU are even remotely decent wins.

This is all it does. Had OU played Tulsa instead of Michigan they'd still be ranked where they are right now. OOC scheduling does not help you in the long run.

I like the idea a lot. A point system. Why not. Take a subjective, politically incentivized current system and rank wins and losses.

This might promote better games. Like it.

I can see the committee dropping Ole Miss due to staff changes and they may consider them to not be the same team. BYU will drop to texas tech. I think the ACC gets left out since Duke is in their championship game.
Like it or not Texas means big bucks for them to be in the playoffs and schedule the types of games they do offseason. Who’s taking that risk for not much reward of winning?
So yes Texas will be in if you ask me (they will do some mental gymnastics but they will land it).
Personally I would leave us out but how can you pass up a possibility of Texas playing in Norman or having a playoff game with TAMU in college station be a possibility as well.

Yet H2H is being ignored, literally letting ND ahead of Miami so thats not true. Texas beat both Vandy and OU but again no H2H simply because of the OSU game (and FL and UGA).

What a silly tie breaking system where we have the same conference record as Vandy and OU and beat them head to head yet we are behind them in the conference standings lol?

Explain how that makes any sense?
