I like to follow all sports and I care about it. I just probably wouldn't have made a thread like this had we won it though. There is a way to post a championship thread without saying you are better than everyone else.

It is June 9th and Jac Caglinone is still helping ease yall through the football offseason.
I'd say the other programs are just as necessary.
Surely you realize you'd rather be in your situation than Georgia's- the one program administration.

Man that is a really good question. Economically speaking football outweighs all other sports combined without a doubt. But as far as being a fan, I would say being good at all (other) sports is just a hair better than being dominant at football for me. Just because there are so many more games involved. But your statement is not true about Georgia. They have a good all-sports program. Just have been down in basketball and baseball for a while. Not including this baseball season of course.

He says this while his baseball team is searching desperately for a new coach after being eliminated by their non-rival twice in two years. And their basketball team was eliminated by Tennessee. Y’all beat a Bama team early. And accomplishment but nothing that really means anything.
Y’all keep hoisting those Stanford cups. I mean director’s cups in years when you don’t really win anything but get close.
No one thinks you won’t be competitive if that’s your point. I’m not sure it really means anything beyond that.

Stanford wins it most of the time, to put it in context.
I'll give Texas credit. Unseating Stanford for the cup a few times in the last few years is pretty significant. Simply because Stanford won it like twenty years in a row due to sponsoring a few extra minor sports than most schools.
Fact of the matter is that Texas may win it every year from now on because they are going to be able to find people out there that will fund NIL for all these minor sports that other programs simply won't be able to.
For all but a handful of programs it is going to be all hands on deck to support football and basketball and maybe a third sport in which a school might excell.

Agreed. Having one dominant team isnt required iyam. Just stay in contention in every sport. Contention is fun, and If you stay in contention you are eventually going to break through.
The A&M fan talking shite after running from Texas once is laughable.

So that’s what Texas brings to the SEC
We also enjoy mercy-kneeing the tide in their house.

Yes, case in point Auburn men's track team. Came all the way down to the last event and if UF finishes in 4th place in the 4x400 instead of 3rd place, Auburn wins the national championship. It always comes down to the 4x400.
Arkansas women passed UF to take the title the very same way. I enjoy the crap out of the T&F championships because we (UF) are competitive. That is all you can ask imo.

I'd rather win Directors Cups than not win them. But we win them because of our women's sports. Our men need to stop fricking around.
We haven't made a mens big 3 finals appearance since 2009. In that decade we had 4 baseball title series appearances, 2 football title game appearances, and 1 final four.
Football's looking up. Baseball has a chance right the ship with a new hire. We'll have to wait another year or two to shitcan Rodney Terry.

Nice to see an Auburn fan taking time away from blowing Georgia and Bama to talk shite. We also can't think of a single thing Auburn has won.

Honestly, most of us would trade most of our sports for football success. Let's be honest.

Bingo. Perhaps Terry will right the ship... Nah I can't even say that with a straight face.
He'll get a few years and benefit from the SEC being a weaker basketball conference than the Big 12 but will eventually be replaced.

Yeah. It's a nice representation of an athletic program that is well rounded but since all we really care about is football, basketball and lesser extent baseball it's basically bragging about having a good women's golf team.

Congrats.
Mens sports did well as did womens softball and basketball. Competition in all sports (mens and womens) is about to step up significantly .

Its an easier pill to swallow if you're Texas contending in football, but that's my point. I'd rather be contending in all sports. Florida just needs to figure out their football program, but I've always liked their athletic department.

90 percent? Probably not, but I'll bet we pick right back up whipping aggy's bitch arse at a 70% rate as we have throughout the lifespan of your entire bloodline.
