Plus he would have better offensive talent available to win the shootouts.

If he started dominating that conference you best believe the other teams would adapt to being more physical.
You mean like all the teams in the SEC that are switching from spread HUNH offenses to pro style smash mouth right now? Oh wait. I still don't get why people think the secret to beating Bama is trying to beat them at their own game.

I can't wait for the 10 new threads about this every day until Texas hires a new coach.
I say the over/under is 50.

Uh no. They would play the same style because most recruits in TX grow up in a spread system now. This would be his biggest obstacle: finding players in TX that will fit and buy into his system. I'm sure he would be successful though
Tuberville switched to the spread for offense while at TTU.
The real question is if Bama can lure Smart away from Saban to try and salvage the next decade of their program or does Smart follow Saban to be the coach in waiting at Texas.

If Little Nicky were ever to go to Texas, it wouldn't be to coach in Austin. Right, Jerry?
(IMHO, he'd be nuts to go anywhere. He seems to have made his peace with the moron boosters and fanbase at Bama, something he wasn't ready or able to do in Baton Rouge, and he can create a legacy that ranks with the best college football coaches of all time if he can dodge the NCAA bullets).

I find it interesting that after talking with Sabans agent, they were encouraged enough to talk to Mac, I heard that's how it went down

No way you are bringing that argument here. You're wrong. Pork is better. Shut up.

Sexton could have told the regents "why are we even talking about this? Y'all have a coach still."

Not really. It's just part of the reality at any program that recruits the kind of talent he and a handful of others are capable of getting, and that has lots of money in and around the program.
n/m I see you were responding to the Aubbie.

I find it interesting that you couldn't decipher the ESPN article regarding this story.
