Hype, spectacle, sizzle. Lane sounds like a great fit for Texas.
I wish I could disagree. This is my fear.

He’s 54-19 at ole Miss
So he’s been anything but a failure. One could argue that he was a successful graduate. Of the Saban rehab program.

Check his record vs top 25. Being able to beat a bunch of bad teams doesn't impress me. Sark can do that, for the most part. When you look at their records vs ranked teams, you'll be surprised how similar they look.
I wasn't suggesting he was a failure. I just think that if we're moving on from sark, another coach who's record looks a lot like Sark is not the way to go.

I think tu realizes that Sark after Dark is not the long term answer for them and also know that if they don’t get into the Lane Lottery now then they won’t for a long time. My guess is that Lane will be in Austin if in fact it becomes available.

well that wouldn't surprise me at all. Do not want but I'm not the one making the decisions and I don't trust those who are.

I walked away from this thread when the Bonfire crap started, and just jumped back in this morning.
Just so I don’t have to go find it in the almost 500 posts, can you Cliffs why Sark might be leaving?

I'm not going to repeat the nasty rumors floating around but you could probably guess at most of it.
The only reason I think there's legs to this is because bopper says there is. I made the mistake of doubting him once before and lost a 1 year ban bet to him. I trust his source.
It also wouldn't surprise me that he wants to jump to the nfl because that rumor started weeks ago and hasn't died.

I'll double down on emphasizing this point.
Bopper has a proven track record with calling these type of things, whether you like his team logo or not.

I know. Those poor families. If only they knew they were sending their kids off to an institution that would endanger their lives by being incapable of stacking a few sticks together
TIMBERRRRRRRRRRRRR
That is so far beyond what should be accepted here I have no words.
I hope no one makes fun of the circumstances when one of your loved ones dies. It won't be so funny then. jfc

yeah I'm not a fan of ban happy mods but there are circumstances where it's warranted.

There’s still one more bag of human trash that needs to be disposed of

The weird thing is, he seems to revel in it.
Baffling.
Baffling.

My college roommate ascended in the Air Force all the way to the rank of commanding officer of the the Thunderbirds. His little brother Chris passed away during the bonfire. If you cannot act with the class the Longhorn Band did on 11/26/1999 at halftime then just don't fricking respond.
Would enjoy opening a bottle of good scotch and talking football with you, Pimphand, and toasting either the Breen or Heard family, as they both lost a Chris.
Thank you.

Agree. This reason alone intrigues me. I know it would be short-lived, but fun. Let’s do it.

Last thing we need is another celebrity coach. Why is it so hard for us to simply find a solid coach who keeps his head down, works his arse off, and develops players. We always want that flashy splash hire.
I'm so jealous of the Aggies right now. That got what we need. Someone like elko. I'm under no illusion that we'll hire someone like that.
