You are 100% correct. I do not think this is a Texas thing. This is either A) the media drumming up bs for clicks or B) Sark wants out for whatever reason.

The powers at Texas have given Sark a long leash.

It isn't bullshite. The rumor has been out there for months that Sark might be fired this year, especially once LSU and FL made no secret of their pursuit of Kiffin. Once Texas was mathematically eliminated, it was inevitable. My guess is that you will hear about Kiffin being in Austin tomorrow.

Sark has the look that all Texas coaches have at the end - please, please let it be over soon. Brown was the only coach that could really handle the boosters in Austin. Like A&M, when it comes to football, the AD is just a figurehead. The boosters will make the hire.

Then he should cite his source or shut the f up, period.

I am so sick of these "journalist" throwing bs on a wall without repercussions.

I was in advertising and media for over a decade. This is about clicks period.

He may turn out correct. Whats his harm if he is not though, or if his intel is bs? It should be something but it will be nothing because we collectively move on to the next salacious story.

I never said he was "OUs Daddy" although he wins that miracle Caleb Williams game and 4-1 is more convincing.

What would be fair to say is PK is owning OU right now.

it's not that I disagree. I just made the mistake of doubting him before. I trust his source until proven otherwise.

Fair enough. My issue isnt with people on this board (Texas fans or others).

Its with shoddy journalism that has serious real world and financial implications.

This will be used to negatively recruit UT. This will distract the current team. This will harm the next 2 games. This will harm the transfer portal and NSD in a few months.

I believe he's gone but I'm not going to speculate on why.

true unless they get someone in place quickly. I trust CDC. If this is taking place I have a feeling he's been working on this. I could be wrong but I don't think any of this is taking them by surprise if true.

I grew up in Texas, y'all have always been like that. Nothing new about it.

IF (and thats big IF) there is legs here I agree I trust CDC to have several contingency plans in place.

Absolute brutal year to look for a head coach if thats the case. This is what I always say to the Sark haters, if he's gone who do you realistically think will A) replace him and B) improve to beat Kirby, Day, etc. on a consistent basis?

Sark has his faults but this is why I am not a fan of pulling the chord early. I was also a fan of letting Mack work through his issues. I am one that thinks Charlie set us back a decade and it would have been better to give Mack a few extra years.

CDC won't be making the hire. No AD at Texas or A&M for that matter makes the hire in football. Other sports? Sure, doesn't really matter. That is the problem with a "rich" school where the boosters are forking out millions in NIL

I understand all that. I was just making a comment to the dawg fan that UGA should have eased up on the Horns a bit and none of us would be dealing with this nonsense. Too many other teams in need of a corch

You're not wrong. Even if Sark isn't the guy (and i don't think he is), if the sure fire "guy" isn't available, you wait a year. Some coaches are going to get some massive raises this season for sure.

I think he'd be fine if he got rid of her and was focused entirely on coaching. She looks high maintenance. No way she's gonna let football be more than her.
I do understand, though. Hope he gets through it
