We’re probably about to get sent to the East, so don’t count on seeing them in these stadiums too often.

You probably think Bama and the old SEC schools will protect you once Texas starts pressuring ESPN to drop you.

Good thing ESPN doesn’t make that decision.

Oh, you don't think so? K. Good luck with that. Oh, you can trust your Commissioner as well.

We’ll have to see with the pods

I doubt pods will replace divisions.

Lol y’all really think the sky is falling today, don’t you? It’ll be ok, I promise. I know you didn’t want to share the state with Texas, but get over it.

I like the Pods. Go to 9 game SEC schedule. Play the 3 teams in your POD and 2 of the 4 teams from each of the other Pods for 9 total games.

Home and Home with each team in the other POD,s guarantees you to have a home game with everyone in SEC every 4 years. As well as gives us the opportunity to travel to each campus every 4 years.

Have POD winners play in semifinals and then Championship game. Money from our own playoffs would be off the charts.

It should have been TX/OU in the first place.

Honest question: I know this is an SEC forum (duh) but is this generally a good thing?

Probably not. It will make college football a more regional sport.

I'm imagining more losses than wins for Auburn over time...in Norman, Austin, and Auburn. But maybe that's just me.

But on the down side this might lessen your chances of getting to have a road game in college station.

Will make for easier trips for me to see State whip Texas’s arse again too. I’m all for it

Lol, Texas joining the SEC is a death warrant for schools like State. You probably think Bama and the old SEC schools will protect you once Texas starts pressuring ESPN to drop you. Enjoy the Sun Belt.

Look, we all realize that you're still an SEC newbie. But you're clearly ignorant if you think Bama won't protect Mississippi State. We've played them more than we've played anyone else...over 100 games...and it's a 90-minute bus ride between campuses, the closest two schools to each other in the conference. That's important when factoring in all the other sports.

Having a regular conference opponent that no team ever has to get on a plane to go play is significant. We get that you guys think you have more money than God, but how many SEC schools can your teams ride a bus to?

We are going to a pod system. Leaked to the SEC network. The largest gap between teams will be 4 years.

Eh, I don't think that was anything close to official
