There wasn't anything said about visible marks on her neck area, which also stands out to me.

The following injuries were visible on the woman, according to the affidavit: bite mark to the right forearm, abrasion to the right eyebrow, abrasion to the left leg from the knee to the foot, and a cut to the left thumb with dried blood.

And here's a picture of the affidavit

I don't see anything about any marks or visible injuries to her neck here, but maybe I missed it

All I see is her saying she had difficulty breathing during and rapid breathing after. Her statement that he strangled her is why he was charged with doing it, not because they also observed visible signs of a strangulation.

So if you want to argue with me, tell me you haven't read the affidavit without telling me

I believe achieving Assistant to the Asst Branch Mgr has been a big step in Daniel’s comeback career path in tax accounting.

Generally speaking, people his age with no prior violent history don't just snap and start choking people over some reading glasses. Not saying it's impossible, but I think there are likely a lot of missing details.

No but I have seen many women too afraid to say anything till something more serious happens like this. Its not going to happen overnight though.

If her reports are true, we will likely hear more come out about some of his past. There is a reason some powerful individuals make it so far before one incident like this blows everything up for them. She and others in his life would certainly have a reason for not wanting to go public/call the police if things like these occurred before.

That said, I do think he should, at minimum, be placed on administrative leave pending the investigation and disposition of the criminal matter, which should be SOP whenever something like this happens.

Beard appears mutually guilty at a minimum, but innocent until proven guilty.

FWIW, Randi Trew the claimant fiancé was forced to resign her HS Head Volleyball Coach position in ‘18 due to abusive relations with players.

I don’t see this situation getting any better for either party, Beard or Trew.

Sure, but once they do call the police, like she did here, they usually say there's a history of abuse even if it isn't true.

I'm just saying she could be completely telling the truth or fabricating the truth. None of us know truly what all occurred.

No but I'll side where the evidence is at the moment and see where it goes from there.

Just saying that I have seen these stories so often it is very believable to me right now, doesn't mean that can't/won't change.

Also, maybe this actually is the first time it has turned physical. There is so much more abuse that could have led to this moment that isn't physical, that isn't just a one way street either.

I have to. I deal with this stuff as part of my profession. There's really no playbook as every case is unique, but there are certainly things I noticed in the report that stand out as potential red flags. I guess time will tell as facts continue to come up, although we probably will never know all the details. Things like this rarely make it to trial, and there won't be much a public record if it doesn't.

Hell, I had a case where I knew the Husband beat the shite out of the Wife but neither one of their stories made any sense as to why it happened. She said there was no history of violence whatsoever nor any signs that he was capable of such behavior but that he just started beating her when his car wouldn't start. He said he was questioning her about why she was going on an out of state trip and then started attacking him with a knife when he pressed her. He said her face looked like Mike Tyson went to town and that he had a broken hand due to a fall when she was attacking him. As facts came out, it became apparent that he was pressing her about an affair he suspected she was having (she was). He then responded by savagely beating her.

I just have a really hard time believing Heard's fiancé broke his reading glasses and then just started beating her with nothing else going on. That would be very unusual. There's probably a lot more to this altercation and/or more past history of this type of behavior we don't know about yet.

Feel like Beard is probably sitting around today, drunk as heck, and listening to Cody Jinks I'm not the Devil on repeat. Throwing beer bottles against the wall as he finishes them.

She could be crazy and out of control, or he could. We don’t know. But there is zero need for physical harm. The lack of visual evidence doesn’t support a self defense claim where she was dangerously physically attacking him.

It crosses the line.
