Lighten up Frances. Didn't Bill Little pass away last August?

You had Adrian Peterson. He stood 7 feet tall, slayed defenders by the hundreds, and consumed opponents with fireballs from eyes and lighting bolts from his arse.

I view Chuck Fairbanks as hit and miss. He had two good season towards the end but he also had several near .500 seasons when the teams were unranked. His program also was busted for cheating.
The 60s in general were a downcycle for the Sooners compared to the near unprecedented excellence that came under Wilkinson.
But that's not my point. Almost every decade Oklahoma Football showed up. BAMA struggled through certain decades. The 80s were a walk-through mediocracy for us. I don't even want to mention most of the 50s and the 2000s were hopeless until Coach Saban.
Give me another SEC school, besides BAMA, that can walk that walk.

A nice example of the shorthorns talking the talk. And your trophy case proves it.

Fair point, and I agree, which is funny thing is that my Sooner loving family started taking me to to Norman during the Gibbs/Schnellenberger/Blake era.
I remember him inviting me up to the Nebraska game while I was in college in 1996. Nebraska won 73-21. It was the first game he left early. We went back to the hotel and split a few glasses of the Brown water to mend his soul. For a guy reared on Bud Wilkinson, it was a pretty big downer.

It takes 22 guys to win a football game, not one RB.

Bomar looked pretty good in the bowl win.
Too bad the Big Red Auto stuff bubbled up that year . . . .a story broken by Texags.com posters no less.

So much fail in this thread.
Horn ONLY respects OU's winning history. Other than that they see them as trailer trash, and corupt.
Horn has grown up, worked with, and been around Aggie their whole lives. They respect them and view them as the following...
The successful/rich engineer, ranch owner with 500 head and a platinum packaged dually, someone who works in high places, or military officer
Aggie sees horn the same way minus military officer or ranch guy. Horn is typically rich attorney
But both horn and Aggie have class and success so there is mutual respect overall
That's what this guy in the article is referencing

Huh? Bill Little (RIP a couple years back) was school historian, not asst AD. And nothing involving aggy ever has or had respect attached to it, lulz.

I suppose in your revisionist history lore aggy stood up to big bro and championed for Nebby to keep their mental midgets in large bodies?
Bama should watch out or the sips will destroy their athletic department like they did Nebraskas. It was the strict limits on partial qualifiers (championed by the sips) that destroyed Nebraska. Not sure what rule change will undermine Bama. Probably something to do with NIL

How did forcing "Nerbrasky!" to recruit on a level playing field with everybody else "destroy their athletic program"?
From what I recall, it was the death of option football, their lack of ability to recruit, and several poor coaching hires that "destroyed their program".
They were never able to implement a modern offense post option football era, and they still haven't. They haven't even figured out the QB position yet and they've been out from under the evil empire's thumb for a decade.

Removing the ability to have non-qualifiers on the roster, limit of 2 partial qualifiers, and making their walk-on tactics an NCAA violation also contributed.
Those items were why Tom Osborne retired.
