My daughter attended a small liberal arts college. We experienced the same thing. She graduated as a mouthy leftist. It took less than a year of reality to flip that. She chuckles about that phase these days.

I don't pretend to know and honestly what does it even matter? It's a problem at every major university now and we need to get the s*** under control

Exactly lol. I can't even count the number of times we've seen a bunch of nuts on TV and she says something like "I can't believe I used to think like that"

My girl has a good head on her shoulders and I'm not worried about a professor shaking her from her values. Hell she's already independently recognizing some of the liberal political BS. At the same time, much as I hope the Longhorns win all the games I think there are better college experiences out there than what Austin provides. If she wants to go there she can, but as her dad I hope she chooses a different environment.

I don't have any experience with any of the other universities and what goes on in the campuses. It's a problem with all of them that's the important thing. It may be worse at Texas it wouldn't surprise me but I wouldn't know

That sounds about right. The university experience is about broadening your mind, and the real world will challenge the theories that you discussed in college.

It might be more of an issue at places than it used to, but, and no flaming here, it’s seriously pushed at UT.
We took our son on a walking tour of the campus and an interest session at McCombs his senior year, and the tour guides introduced themselves and provided their pronouns.
It was a huge turnoff, and the only place we visited that did it.
