Scoff all you want at which sports it was. Six SEC trophies won so far in first year of competition.
According to their Wikipedia page, A&M has 33 total SEC titles since joining the conference in 2012. Over/under six years til Texas surpasses them in SEC trophies?
2024-25 titles:
Women’s soccer (tournament)
Women’s basketball (regular season)
Men’s swimming and diving
Women’s swimming and diving
Men’s tennis (regular season and tournament)
Shame we could only manage to be runners up in football and volleyball. Still in contention for baseball, softball, men’s golf, not to mention rowing.

I go to the SEC web site as it doesn't separate between regular season or tournament. The web site list the sport and the champion.
The posters that screech "nobody cares about that/those sports" say that because their team is not competitive or plain arse poor. What the SEC is going to learn after about 5 years is that Texas is 6.25% of the conference, but will win 20% or more of the championship titles. Texas will be competitive in almost all the sports.

Yep. And no one can whine about NIL because it has little to nothing to do with the majority of college athletics.

I don't particularly care when the poor arse idiots complain about NIL. Poverty sucks. Not my money, and most likely not theirs. They can only afford to be competitive in a few, precious to them sports, and can't afford to care about the others. Wait and see, someone will post something about Texas hasn't done something since sometime, being selective of course. I swear we got weirdos and aggy on 3 ft. centers up in here.
