well, here in texas they are saying texas would have beat bama if colt had not been injured. i know they are bitter as we would be if the events had been reversed. but my take is that bama had planned all its blitzes etc for colt. when he went out, we we stunned as well. who's to say we would not have sacked him 12 times and intercepted 4. if we were getting to him on the 5th play of the game, he might have really got hurt. its a team game. texas played tough and is a very good team. i hope in the years to come, texas fans will not put an asterisk by this game and play the what if game. anyone else have a take. here's to you tejas. good game.

Nothing wrong with their bitterness. Like you said, Gumps would be saying the same things.

Texas Fans Drinking that "Moral Victory" Kool-aid.

I read in today's paper where MCCoy was talking about his injury etc. He said "We HAD THEM back on their heels"

Yeah..and we had them on their arse as well.
Shoulda-woulda-coulda.

If the frickers had a running game instead of one-dimensional they might have won who knows?

They could'nt succeed against us constantly throwing on 2 out of 3 downs Our D kept them in check we saw it.

Let them be cry babys we still won it fair and square.

They would have won if they had a better team. McCoy could have made a difference, but he just had a low tolerance of being hit.

Perhaps in the future when we all start playing pussified flag football, UT will have a chance. I rewatched the game last night, this time knowing GMac had cracked ribs. He took a bunch of shots to the ribs and didn't puss out. Maybe the UT players could take an object lesson from him.

yeah and if Bradford wasn't hurt in the OU/Texas game,,,texas would not have made it to the NC game.

If texas wasn't given another second against nebraska, they would not have been in the NC game.

Longhorn fans are bitter because their soft QB was KTFO of the game.

the horns secondary was excellent. there defense overall was very good. our defense won this game. how many times have we heard - championships are won with defense! yes, for some reason we got conservative. now we know gmac was sporting broken ribs i hear. can you imagine how that hurt when he was sacked! to gmac's credit, he did not run off to the locker room and quit. texas, we got conservative because all our qb could do is hand the ball off. so, want to play what if's? what if gmac is 100% even with colt, the score would have been the same.

It's disappointing when a game of such magnitude is on the line and either/both teams can't compete with the talent that positioned them to play the game. Nobody knows what would/could have happened and they never will know. Alabama won ...fair and square.

Yeah the Longhorns will always moan about this one, but you have to play the game you're presented with. Bama would have run a different gameplan if McCoy was in and Texas would have as well. We'll never know what would've happened, but injuries are part of the game and it's up to you to adjust to them.

McCoy doesn't play D either. Him being there might have kept Texas D off the field for longer, but it wouldn't have stopped Bama from getting over 200 yards rushing even when Texas was stacking the line and loading the box with 9.

It's obvious you haven't followed his career and seen the hits he has taken and gotten up and continued to play.

Let's compare. Ribs =/= Arm
McCoy comes in and has to throw to try and get his team back into the game. He can't execute the offense so Bama lines up 11 within 5 yards of the LOS because they know he can't throw the ball. Only a fricking idiot doesn't understand how stupid it would be for him to play.

A win and a championship aren't enough for some Bama fans. They have to question the integrity of their opponent with baseless accusations. The only question is how low can they go?

Where is this hate coming from Arrakis? Are 2 or 3 'Bama fans causing you to turn into a complete douche?

It's where you realize that some of every fanbase will be idiots and you don't characterize all of said fanbase because of those few.

I haven't "gone low"... neither has Alahunter and a lot of other good posters.

I generally only bag on the douchebags like H0nk, TenTex and the other "haters". Don't lump us all together.

Show me where I lumped all Bama fans into one category....I'll wait patiently.

What I hate for Bama fans is it isn't just Texas fans saying they would have won if McCoy didn't get hurt. It seems to be national consensus fueled, of course, by the media. However, when all is said and done the SEC still has control of the crystal ball. Congrats Tide!

Take a peek at my posts especially since the game. I've given nothing but props to the team and their performance. Some of the Bama Fans, not so much.

What I won't do is look past some of the most pathetic accusations without exposing the posters for what they are. If it hurts feelings; too bad.

Let's see how well it's received next year when Ingram or McElroy or Jones go out with an injury and people question their integrity and character. What is sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander.....is it not?

The only sauce HSV knows is made by our friends at Boone's Farm. I know I mess with you a little arrakis but you are beneath having to respond to this guy.
