Serious question because I didn't watch the game, but what happened with Ewers? I saw Vandy make the comeback at the very end but I keep seeing people dog on Ewers

He threw a pick in the opening drive that resulted in going down 0-7 early which, coupled with last weeks loss, felt like a continuation of a QB meltdown.

Hindsight it wasn’t nearly that bad.

Also, Texas was a stupid holding period from winning 34-17, so the 27-24 was highly deceptive (garbage time TD for Vandy), but because nobody watched this game, people think the game was closer than it was.

I think they're more worried about Quinn's regression.

Quinn had an oblique injury, right? Strain? Can be a tough injury for anyone involved in throwing anything to recover from. It can take a long time even for a well-conditioned athlete. It can really take a long time if you don't recover fully before resuming the activity that it hampers.

That is being sensitive. If you have to ask why someone would assume it is an Texas A&M affiliate (doesn't really matter either) at a Texas A&M football game in College Station with 105k+ people in attendance comes off stupid to me...

Just his typical bullshite. Happy feet, not stepping into the pocket, afraid of contact, and still can't hit anyone beyond 20 yards. If he doesn't fix that deep pass issue every team we play is going to crowd the line and dare him to beat them over the top.
When he's not feeling pressure he's pretty good on the mid range stuff. The secret is to rattle him early and often.

I am proud of aTm pulling for you guys to make your 1st SECCG. Wouldn’t that be the icing on the cake for yall especially with Texas and Oklahoma joining the SEC this year. Your team isn’t perfect but is good enough to make a run for it now especially with other teams (Bama) being down. Good luck!!

The real UT has long been my favorite team in the East.

You really need to go rewatch that game... Vandy was playing 2 man deep, so Sark called plays as an extension of the running game. When a team plays two man deep safety coverage you have a huge advantage in short yardage plays due to numbers.

What killed us were the 108 yards of penalties, not Quinn Ewers. This game was not Ewers fault. Could he play better? Yes, but stop being so bias towards your disdain for the kid.

he is a terrible qb when throwing the ball beyond 20 yards which we desperately need at times. The stats are easy to find. I won't even touch this year which may be his worst.

Last season, Ewers ranked 73rd (16-of-47 – 34%) in completion percentage of passes that traveled further than 20 yards – after ranking 89th (16-of-52 attempts – 30.8%) in 2022.

He is not a great qb. You can apologize for him all you want but defenses love playing a Ewers led Texas team. He makes their job so easy. Once georgia exposed him everyone is going to copy that formula.

Your takes are so Texas. Very few of you come here for rational conversation (BigBro, horninhouston)...the rest of you come on talking shite about how great you are, sucking your own dicks and how you will run the conference . As I said on the other thread...enjoy your November...you very well could have 3 more losses before you come to College Station.

3 losses before coming to Kyle Field, sheesh.

This just confirms suspcions you are off your meds-- you really think UT loses three in a row to the murderers row of Arky, Florida and Kentucky.
