Worse than that.

The committee only sits around to discuss what to say to defend the already decided choices and matchups.

They get a computer printout and then they come up with excuses.

But after both got mud stomped they turned on us. I completely expect it from aggy, I've been the biggest defender of OU. No longer.

Those dirt burglars can kiss my arse.

Yeah the difference is you didn’t risk anything in the OOc, Texas did. You skated by. Texas should have but you like millions of other Americans watched the osu Texas game.

You benefitted as a fan while your own team did nothing to contribute OOc just like 90% of college football.

That’s the issue. Same reason people on here want to say the big 12 is a one bid league due to their weak conference but the sec is a 5 team league. Same logic applies.

If we get screwed for this season then make a change, cancel every single OOc game and start over. The money lost this year far outweighs any buyouts.

This dogshit committee has shown how lazy they are and all they care about is w-l column. So give them that the easiest way possible.

It is solely about that. No if they lost 4,5,6 etc games that’s different. It’s swapping ONE loss for a win, which could have easily been achieved.

Serious question for everyone here.

Does a 10-2 Texas make the playoff with losses to Florida and UGA? I guarantee they do and THATS the issue period

Maybe....north Texas has a good team. Hell, I believe TT could beat both of our asses this year.

If they played a harder schedule they might have.

The only teams that stand to gain anything are bubble teams that play otherwise weak schedules where they can go 11-1, 10-2 and make a loss irrelevant.

So Miami

Yes, the Florida loss will keep them out, but otherwise Texas had a hell of a good year. They played 5 CFP-worthy teams (OSU, OU, Vandy, Georgia, A&M) and went 3-2 vs them. Very tough schedule that only a handful of teams nationwide would have navigated any better.

I wouldn’t be so sure. I’m looking at some of these potential playoff matchups and it looks morbid as hell. Ain’t nobody watching some of these games. You want actual views? You want to at least make Ohio State work for a repeat? Toss Texas up in the show.

So Miami

They'll probably get in anyway in spite of the fact that they lost to two 8-4 teams. Vandy deserves to be in over Miami, no question.

Excellent counting. You should be on the CFP committee.

Yes they would have, if they lose the BIG champ they are out of a top 4 seed with a loss, had they run the table and lost in the BIG they still could have made a top 4 seed.

Either way compare Texas vs OSU schedule post playing eachother, its wildly different.

But not out of the playoffs picture

You are out of the playoff picture because you lost to a cupcake not because you lost to a strong opponent out of conference

So once it's official that Texas is out. We call Ohio State and cancel next year's game. Which will screw ESPN badly.

Then we schedule a cupcake. Problem solved.

Which is why ESPN will never allow it to happen.

I have already accepted we are not in playoffs. With the way we played on the road this year, we would have our hands full with whomever our first round opponent would be.
That said, I don't know how you take ou over vandy. Vandy clearly playing better right now with same record.
