Welcome to the SEC cupcake. This is why you guys shouldn't be in the SEC. We schedule hard out of conference games to prove we are the best. If your team cant handle that go back to the big 12.
Yeah man, Clemson sure was a tough one this year.

Keep Michigan and tOSU. Those are home games the next 2 years. Cancel Notre Dame. They don’t deserve anyone’s attention.
I 1000% agree on ND. No B1G or SEC team should schedule them until they join a conference.
With us going to a 9 game SEC schedule I don’t really see the point of keeping Michigan. Especially since it will be Underwood’s third year and we will be breaking in a new QB (Lacy or Bell).

LSU has been doing it for years. I know you are new here. A little research doesnt hurt. Choke in the playoffs aga... oh wait. What happened the last time you faced LSU?

Yeah Florida State thinks they own the SEC because of LSU and Alabama. Thanks guys!

Clemson is generally a pretty damn good team. If you schedule a home and away with a good program and they suck when that year rolls around it’s not really your fault. But y’all clamored about being in the SEC for tough schedules and now cry when you have 1 tough OOC game bc you’re not used to losing more in the conference. Time to man up or shut up

Texas should look at canceling Michigan in 2027 and ND in 28,29. I think it’s too late to cancel tOSU in 2026. The tough OOC games were scheduled during the 4 team playoff era when you needed a schedule boost. It helped us in 2023 because beating Alabama got us in, and hurt us this year. There isn’t any reason to push your SOS up with a 12 or 16 team playoff. Teams shouldn’t be playing a tough OOC anymore.
If your team wasn’t such arse and you actually had a coach you could win.

If you use an ELO system like chess, UT fairs well. Basically, you are awarded for beating high caliber teams, not rewarded for beating bad teams, penalized heavily for losing to bad teams (outside top 25) and not penalized for losing to elite competition.
I re-ranked the Top 25 teams using the latest CFP rankings as a baseline, a plus 25-1 scale for wins against top 25, no points for wins outside the top 25 and a reverse minus 1-25 scale for loses against the top 25 plus a minus (-30) penalty losing to a team outside the top 25.
Remarkably, when schedules were evaluated, 11 of 12 current CFP teams were similarly ranked...the exception, Texas which was a top 7 team. Bottomline...UT is being penalized for losing to tough competition and having its wins against strong teams marginalized. This is not good for College football and will stymie future cross-conference games between top-tier teams during the regular season. This is from a LSU Tiger & TAMU supporter.
