Year 5 was pretty dang good too. 14-1 and a national title. Something A&M can only dream about.

Looking more like 20-17. Sorry but Kirby has had the advantage of being in a weaker east division. He also inherited a 10 win program. Given all the variables, over the first 4 years Jimbo hasn’t done much worse in terms of SEC play.

We dominate east teams. There is a huge difference whether you want to admit it or not.
Jimbo is 8-1 vs the East. The only loss came at UGA and it was a very questionable game.

You generally have a loss or two to a mid tier SEC team each year. We don’t. It’s not just Bama or 19 LSU that make up the losses on Jimbos record.

How is it going to be the same if he’d have to play LSU and Bama twice more each? That’s 4 more L’s based on Kirby’s record against them during that time frame. Not saying Kirby isn’t a good coach, I’m just saying Jimbo has had much more of an uphill climb in his first 4 years.
