What's the deal with all the guys in the stands at A&M home games dressed like boy scouts?
I'll admit that I don't know anything about A&M's tradition, just was watching a replay of A&M vs LSU last night and was wondering about this.

May or may not be trolling but oh well, they are the Corps of Cadets. Have around 2,000 members and I believe its the largest ROTC program outside of the academies. I wish they'd break them up rather than have them sit together because the cameras always seem to focus on them and people seem to think they make up the majority of the student body

its the corps and it makes up about 5% of our student body. the problem is they only chose to show the corps and the band on TV and they never show any regular students.
which frankly pisses me off every time they show the corps, they rarely show hot girls. we have plenty of hot women in texas i promise

Yeah it really does make it look like they make up the majprity of the crowd the way they show them after every play.

Does the corps travel in force? Or do they just have a section at the home games.

They all sit in one section and even tho its one of the biggest universities in the country and we have a 50 thousand seat student section the cameras only find the corps and it makes us all mad. we have our fair share of frat kids and hot chicks they just never show them on TV.
we know how it plays on television but the reality is that 95% percent of the students have no affiliation with the military or any connection to the corps.

Refer to them as "corp turds". It's their given name according to the rest of the student body. I wish they didn't sit in the 1st deck of the student section because the cameras always show them and they have the ugliest girls in Texas with them. They may even import them from Arkansas.
