Never have the dynamics been the same in the past as they will be when aggs join SEC.
- Aggs only team in TX that plays in SEC.
You are trying to compare two things that are not comparable. If you think Ark has more recruiting upside, I'm lost.

I wasn't aware this was about women's basketball and track. Damn, A&M is just another Arkansas.

and Auburn.
Also, A&M does not have a losing record against MSU.

Really beating Texas is all it comes down to. We both have shitty record against them. If we each had beaten them 4 or 5 more times in our history we probably each would have had 4 or 5 more conference titles.

The SEC doesn't need Texas recruits.
We've had eight or more teams finish in the top 25 of the recruiting rankings since 2008 all the while racking up BCS championship after BCS championship.
Suck it, Texas

We definitely don't have any more recruiting upside and we never did in our entire history with A&M so it's not like this is anything new to us.

Never said they did. Aggs need TX recruits and with them joining the SEC I believe they will have an easier time recruiting in TX than they have before.

You'll still finish behind Oklahoma and Texas every year even when you finally "officially" join, mostly because they're Oklahoma and Texas and you're just Texas A&M.

You keep posting about history, while I'm solely addressing the future(upside).

Frank Broyles last good team at Arkansas before he retired.

I know the Aggie fans are excited, but they just don't realize the hell they're about to put their football team through.
Alabama
Auburn
LSU
Florida
Georgia
Tennessee
All of these teams are in the top thirteen in wins and have multiple national championships. I understand the optimism, but it will be quelled quite shortly.

A&M is going to have it rough for quite a few years in the SEC, but I think our potential ceiling is higher than an arky or USC. being the sole texas school in the best conference in the nation will be a huge selling point--hopefully one we can capitalize on.
we have the fan support, the facilities (and kyle will be upgraded soon), the money, the talented recruiting base, etc. to eventually become a top-tier program. now we can add the conference to that list. it's really a matter of finally taking advantage of those things; there's no large limiting factor to being a top-tier program other than our total inability to put the pieces together and win some games.

OK and TX are in the SEC?
My statement is that the Aggs will get a boost in recruiting due to playing in the SEC. I think this can lead them to improving as a program. I suggest no more than that.

Auburn.. I think it's pretty clear and the Willie Lyles stuff isn't going to help them.
What does this even mean?

You don't seem to grasp that I am saying they have always had the upside in comparison to Arkansas when it comes to recruiting.
I realize this is new to the rest of the SEC because they have never had to deal with a school in Texas but the entire time we were in the SWC we were dealing with the whole "you can stay instate and play instead of going out of state to Arkansas" angle when it came to recruiting.

There are six:
Alabama
Auburn
Florida
Georgia
LSU
Tennessee
Remember, the Big Six have won every SEC title since 1976.

Aggs have never been able to sell their programs to recruits considering UT and the other TX schools, by saying " come play with us in the best Conference in the country". While at the same time none of the teams in TX can say the same. In the past UT,Tech, OK, etc. were all selling the same thing, no more though.
