Texas is the most overrated state period. That's an accomplishment given that California exists

Neal and Turner were 5*s and McKinley was forever until he got the didn’t choose bama drop. That’s 3 elite prospects on the DL

Turner doesn't start. In fact, he's hurt right now. I only named starters.

Had some flat out misses at OL

when pittman coached our OL, we rarely had flat out misses at OL. after he left, even the ones he recruited were all "flat out misses"

Dont overthink it. It's coaching

"Flat out misses" recruited under OL Coach Jim Turner (2016-2018)

Kellen Dietsch
Austin Anderson
Riley Anderson
Grayson Reed
Adrian Wolford
Colten Blanton
Tank Jenkins
Luke Matthews
Barton Clement
Colton Prater (he was just fricking weak even though he was a starter)

Flat out misses under Josh Henson (2019-present)

Chris Morris (arrest)

Jared Hocker, Dan Moore, Carson Green and Ryan McCollum were salvaged under Henson

first name on that list was Pittman's prime target right before he left. i dont think a top OL recruiter like Pittman was that far off on that evaluation. I think your coaches suck

it is also worth noting that the starting Arkansas OL that manhandled both A&M and Texas DL's is comprised of five 3 star starters and a total of only one 4-star in the whole 2-deep roster.

Aggies on the flip side have two 4-stars and one 5-star OL in its starting OL and five total 4-5 star OL in the 2-deep.

it is coaching

I don’t know tbh but their defense has not looked good tbh. I thought they were returning everyone? State who has trouble moving the ball we’re straight up dicing up the atm defense

we broke them. if their players were anything like their fans, they were dwelling on arkansas all week. Hell, Spiller couldnt even admit that their offense got stopped after the game. Completely delusional

Obviously not enough talent and depth at key positions. OL will be fine after this year, but we are playing fish all along the OL. After this year, secondary talent will be there but again freshmen everywhere. TE depth is a concern. We are fine at DL, RB, and WR

QB is the main issue to solve. Our backup cannot run the offense. Next year we should have King and Weigman so that will help

We are young and inexperienced at LB, and it shows

It is coaching but Arkansas beat them with better talent that included Jefferson not playing most of the second half.

The 2015 season was the last year we had an SEC offensive line. When Sam left the collapse began.

A&M has issues for sure and we suck right now but it really isn't one extreme or the other. There are a lot of scenarios that A&M is sitting at 5-0 in the Top 5 right now with a few things breaking their way. Would they deserve it? No, but certainly it would feel differently. By the other extreme A&M isn't suddenly a bottom feeder with no talent and coaching. The reality is somewhere between.

A&M does not have the depth of UGA and Bama in terms of talent but the starters to begin the year looked solid with a few question marks.

The biggest of those by far was QB and King was the answer. It's really hard to overstate how much losing him hurt this team. Not only is he a better QB than Calzada in terms of functional play, he is mobile and a guy that led a state championship team who is used to adversity.

The OL was the other big question mark and losing multiple starters on a line full of newbies was a disaster. That disaster was made much worse by having Calzada who is timid and not very mobile. Thus you had a pocket passer that needs lots of time because he doesn't handle pressure well. Epic fail.

The defense has issues but they are minor compared to the O. LB play has been mediocre and the DB's have had a lot of injuries. Myles Jones who got burned on the long TD against Arky for instance was having foot issues but played anyway, he just posted his pic recovering from surgery as he never should have been on the field.

Does this reflect on Jimbo and the coaches? Absofreakinglutely! Coaches have to find ways to overcome and they need backup plans. They need to get these guys ready to play and overcome. The problem though is more not acquiring enough depth or coaching it up so that we didn't have to rely on Freshman. We are paying a heavy price for those mistakes now. Our only prayer is that Calzada suddenly transforms into something new (extremely unlikely) or when King comes back we improve and can finish out with some hope for next year.

In the meantime this year sucks for Aggy and we deserve the mocking.

The one 5-star was the only member on that line with more than 3 starts at the time of the game. (Green had 26 starts at the time)

A&M is now on its 6th different offensive line combination in 4 games.

Are we really fine at WR? Aside from Ainias Smith, not one starter going into the 2021 season was better than his backup. Yulkeith Brown, who the fricktards at texags raved was the next big thing, hasn't seen a single snap.
