9-3 should be the floor for A&M with that schedule. Anything less and Jimbo should be on the hot seat in 2021

This. There is absolutely no excuse for A&M to lose 4 or more regular season games next year.

Yes, if other teams have bad luck and/or injuries, and provided A&M's coaches do a very good job. It's a lot, but sure, they could.

Anything less than 9-3 would be a major disappointment, and at 7.5 million per year for Fisher, not a good investment.

Only if they can squeak by Abilene Christian and North Texas. That’s a going to be a true test.

That's one of the funniest things I've read on the Rant in a long, long time.

What your saying is because of A&M's cupcake schedule, A&M will be ranked until near the end of the season when both Alabama and LSU will beat the crap out of them.

If they don’t win 10 this year with that schedule they never will. A&M can shut down their program if they don’t win 10 this year.

One reason
MOND
Not gonna happen with Anthony Jennings part 2.
Mr. 100 yards passing with a pick as an average game is not gonna get it done. The words “when someone shows you who they are, believe them”. Well, hasn’t Mond shown you everything you need to know?
You may win 9-10 games with him and super great defense and perfect special teams and a hard arse run game but you CAN NOT WIN against elite teams without being able to throw the ball and Mond can’t throw the ball.

At least three losses,possibly five.

But it would be legendary if they only lost two.

Who says Mond will be the starter by the end of the year?

The main reason Fisher didn't bench Mond last season was that he couldn't trust true freshman Calzada to handle the offense as a starter.

Now Mond has freshman phenom Haynes King and Redshirt Freshman Calzada behind him to where, if Mond can't get his shite together, we may have a Kelly Bryant/Trevor Lawrence situation with Mond and King.

I think A&M will be a pretty good team next year but my main issues and questions are Mond and the OL unit.

The offensive line this year was bad/underhwelming, how improved can that unit be next year?

I have serious doubts that Mond will get A&M over the hump. He isn't consistent and has been very mediocre against quality competition. To compete at the highest level right now, you have to have competent/good QB play period. I am not sure if its possible for Mond to provide that. This will require him to step up dramatically passing the ball.

Only other options for A&M would be for Calzada to make a jump this offseason or for Haynes King to develop.

We've discussed Mond ad nauseum. The biggest problem with the offensive line is that the majority of players, including the recent signees, are interior linemen. Last year's starting lineup included:

-A guard playing tackle (Dan Moore)
-A tackle playing guard (Kenyon Green)
-A weakling playing center (Colton Prater)
-A big and slow guard (Jared Hocker)
-A mediocre blocking tight end playing tackle (Carson Green)

It's very likely that, even though there are "4 returning starters", only Kenyon Green and maybe one other player retain their starting jobs.

Another improvement is that Mond will be forced to target receivers that actually have a high chance of catching the football. As good as Quartney Davis was, he only caught 54% of balls thrown to him. Kendrick Rogers barely caught 50%. Compare that to Jhamon Ausbon (71.2%), Jalen Wydermyer (71.1%) and Ainias Smith (63%)
