I think you're right with this take but Aggies will probably run him out of town in the next 3-4 years. I honestly think Elko could do a pretty good job at A&M if left alone to do his job.
The problem with A&M is the culture of the school, alumni and fans not the players or the coaches. The Aggie culture is the one constant over the years.

Agreed, especially if Texas keeps winning at a high level. The real casualty is looking like it's going to be Oklahoma. Texas is going to get their recruits like always, but A&M and Texas have never really been "UP" at the same time due to the Sooners getting the guys that A&M needed. Now in the NIL world, Oklahoma is in trouble. Aggie is getting the kids that would normally go to Norman. A McDonald's bag with $1,200 bucks in it and a summer job that you have to show up for is child's play in today's world. Will be interesting to watch unfold.

ATM adjusted defensively very well after halftime. Kudos to Elko. And we drove Weigman off the field. Problem is, we had no answer for Reed. It was a solid win.

I'm not sure Aggy is even the 3rd best team in Texas. TCU and Tech would give them problems.

What’s LSU record against 8$4 since they came into the SEC?
The thread is not about this year. It’s about their continual insistence that next year, the next coach, the new stadium, all their money, etc will make them elite over night. When they have never been for the history of their existence.
And yes, I am chapped about them (and MIZ and UT and OU for that matter) coming in to the SEC and just assuming OUR prestige and legacy. They and their sorry SWC/BIG X traditions are a stain on the once great SEC. They don’t belong.
But hey, that’s just this one fan’s opinion, nothing to get anyone’s panties twisted about. I can learn to live with it, but this is the “the rant” after all.
