ESPN isn't going to kill the LHN. Its cheap compared to a full Big 12 Network, and it allows the Big 12 to stay together to avoid pushing that inventory to the PAC (which ESPN barely has hooks in).
But I picked five years because in five years either every major program is playing in a Netflix conference, or nothing has re-aligned and new contracts lock the status quo in place for a decade. Either way that will end the debate.

The SEC Network is better than the proposed Lonestar Network (ie the original LHN with A&M and Texas on it until Dodds decided to be a dick about the profit split) or the actual LHN.
The only network that would be better would be the B1G Network only because it pays more.

Randy Matson has a much stronger claim than Manziel does. So does Stacy Sykora, Ashley Pistorius, Breeja Larssen...hell even Devon Achane.

How sad is it that there is nobody outside of Texas A&M who even know wtf your greatest alumni are.

Give me 1/14 of a channel with the biggest brands in college football also on that channel.
Have you actually watched the LHN? There isn't enough good content coming from one program, and it never gets top tier football games because Fox owns the Big 12 tier 2 rights and they prevent the good stuff from falling to tier 3 (aka the LHN). I think Texas VS Kansas has been the best game on there so far.
Meanwhile ESPN owns the tier 1 and 2 for the SEC when CBS is pushed out so really good SEC matchups are on the SEC Network every year and will be for over a decade.
Its like comparing a public access channel to CNN, they aren't even in the same ballpark on production and content.
