I think the last statistics from 2019 (pre pandemic) had 37% living greater than 35 minutes from campus

I’m sure that number soared during Covid so I won’t judge you by it

Look, it’s not necessarily a smear, the reality is with urban campuses it’s not uncommon for the sake of cost, safety, and other factors to have a large portion of students, live and be employed a greater distance from the University

Don’t disagree with that, but Texas students walk or bike. They’re not commuting in.

fun fact though, i got offered in state tuition to go to lsu and i didn't even apply lmao. all i did was check the box to a million schools to send my scores to. got this from ole miss too. what a shitty institution. i can't believe people actually spend time and money there. lol

Well that would be a shock to the committee that was formed 5 years ago to address the evolution of Ut Austin into a commuter school

Well, having done a lot of work on and around campus the last 5 years, the committee made you proud. It worked

Again, it’s still not a smear, other inner city schools face the same problem

there are 4-5 new monster apartment buildings in West Campus UT, its like a mini downtown now

probably some of the nicest dorm/apartments in the USA for college students

buddy's kid goes to one, cant remember the name, it has

reception
library
concierge
roof top pool
movie rooms
housekeeping
weight room
food selections are amazing

the new high rise buildings are incredible

Yep, those are the ones I've been talking about. Similar to the larger housing units going in on West End down by Vandy now that they took down those two eye-sore towers on campus.

I personally founded Draggieland as a way to groom the A&M student population into degeneracy. It worked.

I'd love to take credit for A&M's athletic failures but they've been going on much longer than I've been alive

The university officially labels all of those as “off campus” living options and I believe they only (when combined) only double the current 7,000 student capacity of on campus housing

But I’m liking some of you new horn fans, you don’t just start pouting and disappear when you hear something you don’t like
