We had a team that was a Sweet 16 team on paper (and ironically did end up making it there) but we played like an NIT team for the majority of the season. We lost twice to a bad Texas A&M team, among several other questionable losses. Things were looking bad until we got our shite together at the last possible moment.

As a resident of the state of Tennessee I can tell you they treated him like shite from the moment he walked in the door. It wasn't because he was black, it was because he wasn't Bruce Pearl and dumbass Vol fans lived in this fantasy world where they thought that somehow Pearl could come back one day. They undermined the guy at every turn and I am glad their program is a smoldering ruin because of it.

Cuonzo inherited a program that had made six straight tournament appearances and was in serious danger of missing out on the tournament for the third time in a row. It just makes Vols fans look bad that his only really good stretch was his final 10-15 games. His teams pretty much took off the first half of the year each season.
