Ask yourself why Georgia Tech and UGA were his options.
Huh? He had offers from Virginia, South Carolina, and Tennessee?

He was the 2nd highest rated recruit in Georgia's 2023 class. For other schools in their 2023 class, he would have been the (x) highest rated recruit:
Alabama - 2nd
Arkansas - 3rd (since they only had 2 recruits in the class)
Auburn - 2nd
Florida - 1st
Kentucky - 5th (UK had a huge class of 10 recruits)
LSU - 1st
Miss St. - 1st
MIZZOU - 1st
Ole Miss - 1st
OU - 2nd
USCe - 1st
UT - 2nd
aTm - 1st
UTex - 1st
Vandy - 1st

That's actually pretty impressive. I hope we can hold to him. I've always had that itch he might go back home to Knoxville at some point. Hopefully not. He's a good player but really needs to hit the weights. He gets pushed around way too much and his defense is absolutely awful. He fouls a lot too.

He's a true Sophomore and will grow more into the role. As for coming back to Knoxville...he left Knoxville before his Senior Season of High School to play at IMG. I don't think he will be coming back to Knoxville except for when Georgia plays in Thompson Boling Arena.

And? Tennessee did not push for him and that’s a fact.

I guess. I mean, Rick Barnes came to Knoxville Catholic to watch him and B.J. Edwards. Tennessee did offer, but their roster got filled when they added a couple of transfers including Dalton Knecht.
I do know that Cain was offered in April 2021, and transferred to IMG in 2022.

Certainly not a good performance, but I’m still confident.
Our 3 returning sophomores played terrible on both sides, probably worse than they did at any point last year as freshmen. Gotta think that won’t be the norm for them going forward.
On the other hand our newcomers played really well. Specifically Leffew and Newell. They won’t be that good every game but still highly encouraging.
I’m also gonna chalk up some of our struggles to Tennessee Tech being a 5-out team. It may just be copium but we won’t play a team like that again all year.
On a positive note, UCF beat A&M last night, who we beat by 40. Yeah I know an exhibition but it’s gotta mean something right?

An ugly early season win is a helluva better than an ugly early season loss.
I think a lot of teams, especially in the SEC, are going to have a wild first month or two as they bring in new players and adjust to officiating that ranges from "The Warriors" to "your player glanced to the other bench, that's a foul shot."
