1998 was truly an anomaly.
Pretty remarkable that Tennessee couldn't win a single title with Peyton Manning as their QB.
Hell, they couldn't even beat Spurrier/UF a single time with what would become one of the greatest NFL qb's of all time.
0-4, can't spell Citrus without UT...heck, a Citrus Bowl appearance would be considered a great season for the Vols now

I know there's been some back and forth between Tenn and Ark fans over baseball recently, so Whadupdog may have been being a nuisance for Ark posters but his level of shitiness on a general level has been way lower than Crunch had been. But I've also suspected Whadupdog of being someone's alter.
Neyland TheGreat posts EXACTLY like how Crunch did, even says the most ridiculous things about Vol greatness.
But you may also be onto something. Hell maybe both are Crunch alters.

It's not as hard to follow as the level of optimism that Vols have about football after going 7-6 and ending the season giving up nearly 50 points in a loss to Purdue in the Music City Bowl

All you have to do is consider consecutive coaching regimes of Derek Dooley, Butch Jones and Jeremy Pruitt to understand why any change would be a point of optimism.

Tenn hasn’t won the East in football in 15 years, haven’t won the SEC in 23 years. You lost to Purdue, Pittsburg, Ole Miss and Florida last year and lost by 52 to GA & AL. You were down 41-10 halfway through the 4th quarter last year against UGA at home. Nobody is worried about the Viles.
