LSU had a meager 2 in the same 3 decade period.

Its funny you chose that a 29 year span for your 3 decade span thread, yet you go from 1970-2001 for your three decade period LSU has 4 including a win over Tennessee for the SEC title that kept them out of the NC game...

Not to mention their lack of commitment to keep up with standards set by others in the conference. Tennessee is a beautiful state, but their stadium is absolute shite.

They're in the same boat as Clemson when it comes to recruiting challenges. So if Clemson can do it, so can UT.

I wouldn’t put Tennessee in Clemson’s category in terms recruiting potential. The Carolina’s produce some genuine studs. Maybe not as consistently as Florida, California, Georgia, Texas, or Louisiana. But they do produce some great talent. Tennessee is a notch above Nebraska. They’re only win in terms of recruiting is the fact that they neighbor some good talent producing states. The days of kids going to schools for the sake of being on tv are gone. Every game is on tv now. Kids will choose to stay as close to home as possible. Only in rare cases will they go elsewhere. And that’s if the school has potential to make them nfl greats. Tennessee just doesn’t have that.

Hey papaw, it’s not the 60’s anymore, the state of Tennessee produces far, far more talent than South Carolina and Tennessee produces as many blue chips as North Carolina.

The mid state population is one of the fastest growing areas in the country, they’ll only produce more. The same can’t be said for poor old Louisiana

Unfortunately you are correct. Our population is fleeing this state like Syrian refugees

I’m in my 20’s you dumbass.

And the mid state population can grow all it wants. It will never be the fertile recruiting grounds that Louisiana is... lol

Sorry to offend you, but you’d be better off accepting mediocrity. It’s your future.

Lol Tennessee and Lousisiana produce the same # of top 300 players.

They have for 5+ years.

If you honestly believe that Tennessee is on the same level as Louisiana in terms of talent production... then there’s no hope for you.

That is 30 seasons. 3 full decades, averaging 1 SEC Championship every 15 years.

The mid state population is not growing by the type of people that normally become college football players. I expect galls lacrosse to continue to improve

While Louisiana is actually growing in population of typical d1 football players

The populations of Murfreesboro and Nashville aren’t being filled with Lily white retirees from Ohio, and that’s where the majority of the talent is centered.

Schools like Oakland used to be complete non factors, and now churn out D1 players every cycle. NPA’s emergence has played as big a factor as any though imo.

Like I said, you purposely cherry picked that 30 year span at your sad trolling attempt, but when you add 1970 and 2001 to the time table for 32 years, suddenly we have doubled that number to 4 SEC championships...

and if my math and history is correct, the first SEC championship was 1933 so that is 86 conference championships as of 2018...LSU has 11 titles, so that is one out of every 7.8 years...far below your one out of every 15 years statement...

then again...why didn't you do the 30 year span from 1986 to 2015...LSU has 6 titles during that stretch, that is one out of every 5 years...oh that's right...it didn't fit your sad trolling attempt...

better luck next time...

It proves the point that if LSU can recover from a seemingly hopeless state as that then Tenner can as well. I think they will do it.

And I used that time period because that is the 30 year period proceeding the LSU turn around you dumb arse.

Why does that time period trigger you so much?

It’s a serious question. If LSU can do it, why can’t the 2nd best historical program in the SEC do it?

Hell Georgia only has 3 between 1983-2018 and they're apparently already back if you ask their fans.
