Here's the thing: what has morphed into what is now called NIL really isn't NIL any more.
Nico on his own having a deal with Pilot to appear in ads is NIL.
Universities or their proxies guaranteeing players a financial package to play at their school isn't.

Ryan Williams is a much better player. And if he pulls this hold out, no show shite, I'd say frick him and let him walk...don't pay him a dime.
It's probably a few years away, but when season ticket holders start to bail in big numbers, that may get schools' attention. I used to have 8 season tickets in Tuscaloosa. Now, I'll probably never attend a game in person ever again, and I'm perfectly OK with that.
