You mean kind of like pushing?

Yeah, ref blew it. Never know if Vols would have won, but the ref pretty much eliminated their chance to.

Shaft y'all got shafted. Not a bad season for the Vols though, I think Heupel is going to do good things in Knoxville.

Big fan of Joth so far considering how much I hated the hire initially. I wish he would quit being such a conservative pussy in fixtures when we are massive underdogs but all in all I am pleasantly surprised with him thus far.

Definitely needs to croot a little better and get some goons on defense, but this offense is electric and I am very excited to watch Hendon sling that tater around the yard next annum. It’s night and day watching this offense compared to the previous three years of slop we got with Proot and Geronimo which made me want to gouge my eyes out.

No referee worth a shite blows a whistle for forward progress on a goal-line play. Ever.

This. In an era of replay, you only blow the whistle on a play like that to try and control the outcome or because it's a habit that after 20 years of replay you've failed to break.

Neither of these are true. A football play ends when forward progress is stopped. They try to blow the whistle when that happens, but there are plenty examples of that not happening, even in this game (I've watched the replay). Heupel's lucky the game didn't end on his first 4th down gamble. If he wants to make it in the SEC he'd better learn that gambling only works if you have Suprrier-type talent.

No, it is NOT like pushing. Pushing is legal, pulling is not.

The only argument the ref blew it is not calling the penalty and having Purdue decline it. It was not a legal TD.

If the play was officiated properly it would have been a TD with a penalty. They accept it and Tennessee could kick a FG.

It’s nothing like pushing. His progress was stopped. His teammate tried to pull. It was the right call.

Your team did beat Mizzou two years ago and it was clinking big time on offense. Well maybe if the quarterback was so bad then get another quarterback and nope The HC never got that chance to get another quarterback. Mizou was lacking talents in general. This recruiting class is a big one and should continue get another good recruiting class. I believe 2023 is the year Mizzou should have the foundation set. Tennessee should have the same time frame to get the right players. Maybe it will work out maybe not. I do believe Drinkwitz will work out fine because the lack of talents is what holding back the team in general.
