Attempting a 56 yard field goal makes the playcalling even stranger. If you thought you were close to his range why not try to just pick up 4-5 yards?

Just because players were open doesn't mean it was a great play call. You don't need a td, you need yardage. A higher percentage play call would have been better. Throwing it the first two downs would have been better. They wasted 30 seconds on that "drive".

Honestly Heupel knew our kicker is shite unless it’s under like 38 yards so I guess that’s why we did that. Would’ve been nice to go after a 15-20 yard chunk instead of the deep route though.
