There are two things to track in this game: (besides the obvious, who can control the LOS)

Big plays, and Florida's TOP.

Tennessee, to this point, has not been able to run the ball effectively, and that was against two sub par defensive teams.

Florida, on the other hand, looks very strong running the ball right now. They have play makers in Demps and Rainey, they have big bodies in Joyer and Burton, and even Gilislee looks like he might chip in. The offensive line for Florida has also played far better than UT's, opening up nice running lanes and protecting QB John Brantley (0 sacks allowed).

Tennessee on the other hand has 3 of the better offensive players in the conference right now in Rogers, Hunter, and Bray, and have the potential to move up and down the field, chewing up big chunks of yard, at a lighting fast pace.

So, my theory, is that if Florida continues their success on the ground, and is able to hold the ball for considerable periods of time, they will control the game, but they HAVE to score TD's in the red zone, which is something they've struggled with this season (12 trips, 7 TD, 4 FG).

On the flip side, how does the UT offense deal with what is sure to be a lot of pressure from UF's defense? I think UT is going to have big problems consistently driving on UF, but UT does have a pretty big edge WR vs UF secondary, so I think UT will live and die by the big play. If UT has a number of big plays, then I think they will force UF out of ball control and into a shoot out, in which case, I think UT wins, maybe even easily. On the other hand, if UT is not hitting big plays, and UF can control the ball, then UT will struggle to score and UF might win by a lopsided margin.

That's what makes this game so difficult to gauge, IMO, because it all depends on the big play.

As of right now, I'm going to say that UF does give up some big plays, but not enough to take them out of their game plan, and manages to control the clock, and wear UT down in the 2nd half on their way to a 30-24 win.

Should be an exciting game.

I think that UT will have the lead at some point in this game, and UF will have to come back in the 2nd half.

The only thing that remotely frightens me about UT is their WR's. How do you shut down a good passing game? It sure as hell isn't the DB's. It's all on the DL. Getting Floyd back is huge, and he will join a DL of Easley, Howard, and McCray. Yes, Powell is moving to SLB more than likely. McCray is a better pass rusher at this point in their careers and Powell is better in space. I think we can generate plenty of pressure on Bray with our front 4 only, but Muschamp will have some interesting zone blitzing packages.

I will agree with most of that. However, I do take issue with people connecting our lack of running game to a poor offensive line. Our offensive line has looked very good in pass protection just not in run blocking. I know Bray has been sacked, but frankly the pressure was so limited, I don't even remember him being hit.

I don't know what to expect, but Tennessee has me more optimistic than I've been since the early 2000s.

Green and Okine probably. Green for McCray and Okine for Floyd.

Powell has been disappointing at the Buck so far, but McCray has been a pleasant surprise. That move makes sense to me just based on the eye test and production.

The offensive line isn't "bad". It's very talented, but hasn't played consistently, especially in the running game, and UF's DL is worlds better than anything UT has seen to this point.

Powell has played really well on the edges, as in playing in space and making tackles in the flats. However, he hasn't been a great pass rusher, he has been very average against the pass. However, he has been solid against the run. I think this move has been in the works for a while.

I think that our offense will look a lot different this week. Weis has been holding out, but honestly, I don't think he flips past page 3 this week in the playbook. This coaching staff has big things in mind, and we are not going to show The Big 3 (Bama/LSU/ ur pick) everything against UT.

We have the luxury of playing at home. It is going to be a hot humid "Swamp" afternoon.

I think our Dline forces 2 turnovers alone, and I think turnovers will be the difference in the game. If Florida can limit giveaways and we can keep Rainey running on the edge like he has been, I think we win by 10+

I look for Johnny to stretch it out a little more. The FleaFlicker was nice, but let's keep that stashed away this week. Should be a good, competitive game, but I am really looking forward to seeing someone in our secondary make a big play and step up and be a leader this week.

If UF holds Tenn to 17 points, while starting two true freshman in the secondary. You can go ahead and give Muschamp the coach of the year award.

Gators should win. I think UT will win next year, though.

IMO our D won't give up 38 either. More like 20-28.

Florida in a close one. UT has a good passing offense but that's about it. Florida has more talent at more positions.

Don't think for a second that all our CB's are 5-9.

Yea, y'all got some tall WR's out there Rogers 6-3, Hunter 6-4, Milton 6-5. But they could be matched up against Roberson 6-0, Purifoy 6-1, and Jenkins 6-3.

I really don't want to see Moses Jenkins on the field.

I think they get Roberson and Brown (Watkins if Brown is out another game), with Riggs in the Nickel.

Floridas defense is very underrated IMO. They are as talented as bama and Lsu from a def perspective.

Florida 27
Tenn 17

The Swamp is going to be too much for young Bray to conquer just yet. Florida 31- Tennessee 27.

Your OL isn't facing Cinci's DL. We get Floyd back. Easley is pretty darn good, if he avoids the false starts.

I agree, if we can limit the big play, we will control the clock with our running game, and TN will lose.
