Including a nice win over tebow in lloyd carr's final game.

9 straight wins allowed michigan to go into the OSU game that year with a big ten title on the line.

Teams can regroup after devastating upsets.

Georgia State's head coach said Tennessee was the second best win of his career... behind a bowl victory over Western Kentucky.

But Appy State was the class of FCS.

Georgia State was 2-10.

He did.
“I just want you to understand, to win that first bowl game in school history is something, it’s very, very special. We hoisted a trophy, played in the postseason. My 23 years of coaching, that may be the top of the list in victories for myself and my career. As far as a football program, this is probably a close second to that one. But I like hoisting that trophy. We don’t get anything for winning this game. Maybe a pat on the back. In three weeks people will have forgotten about what we’ve done.”

I get what he is saying, but this will never be forgotten... Like App State over Michigan, James Madison over Va Tech, or North Dakota State over Iowa.

You just don't see name brand schools getting beat by teams like that... I mean I get those teams were all ranked and went down to FCS teams, but this has to be one of the most embarrassing loses in SEC history.

That's one of those records you don't want to set...

Michigan had a HoF coach and several high draft picks that year.

Nah, I think most people will mostly forget this after this season. This wasn't a UT team expected to do great things. People talk about the App State upset over Michigan because of how Michigan was viewed going into the season.

Appy State barely topped Michigan in a back-and-forth game.

Georgia State lined up and manhandled Tennessee.

There isn't a legit comparison between the two.
