You clearly missed that the Big 12 was on par or with the SEC that year.

Yes. It happens in other sports all the time. Florida Marlins in 97 and 03, for example.

Holy shite, you biased homer! Baseball?

And while y'all bash the BCS because of what happened, just remember that it's the only reason LSU got anything in 03.

Not the Bama fans......or the Ar-Kansas fans...or the Landmass schools...or A&M...

Quit trying to change the argument. Go back to the very beginning of this argument. You're making it about something it's not, because that's the only way your argument holds any kind of water. The original argument was about how people are going to remember the 2011 season.

This has absolutely nothing to do about who thought Bama should be there prior to the game, but you've somehow suckered me into arguing with you about it.

Now this is a riot! You're right, we did start off with the history of 2011. But it evolved. Sorry you can't evolve

Or maybe, just maybe, it's because I asked you to be honest and caught you in something? You keep trying to pass off this hindsight bullshite when you saw the polls BEFOREHAND. The fans you keep asking me about, 75% of them, thought Okie was the right team.

LSU beat Bama @ Bama to win the west. For beating Bama , LSU had to beat a top 10 Georgia, in Georgia, for the right to play Bama. Come on.

How can this fall on deaf ears?

Tuscaloosa, there it is in a simple sentence. You think this was right? You think fans thought this was right, BEFORE the game?

Congrats? My kids, if I ever have one or two, will remember Bama being given a free pass and know that in Bama, you don't have to win. You just have to say Roll Tide! The SEC and BcS like to grab their ankles for Bama. See, so history shall be written that LSU won the SEC and Bama won something that isn't even around anymore. A controversial money grab of lies and deceit.

See how I can spin that shite?

Yeah, it wasn't LSU winning the SEC with the #1 defense in the land or anything

Leave LSU out of that year. LSU was in. LSU didn't ask to play someone in particular. The BcS went with OU over USC, which is a joke. A team that doesn't win it's CC does not belong in a NC. See how easy it is to keep the same line of thinking?

You should try it.

USC was #1 in both polls and won their bowl game. The Coaches were literally forced by the BCS to put LSU at #1.

Edit: They were also undefeated in regulation.

Keep convincing yourself of that. Last I checked they had to give that trophy back for some reason

USC got royally fricked. That's not by LSU though. It came down to the BcS and they chose OU. I know you're saying LSU should thank the BcS and I agree to an extent, especially 2007, but the computers had OU in over USC

You know what's crazy and how I can stick to everything I have been saying? The computers picked Okie over Bama as well.

What a fricking joke. Saban voting Okie #4

So people and bias brought Bama in and something unbiased like the computers that have been used got trumped.

Not a knock but I don't recall much about GA prior to 2008 when we played them. Which is why I can only list them last on this list

I take it the OP hasn't come back and say why an undefeated SEC Champion who won the Sugar Bowl isn't on his list, but a 2 loss team who didn't win the SEC is?

All these teams LOST A DAMN GAME!!! How are they atop any list?!?!? WTF...

Y'all must be like 16 or something...

The list MUST start with

Auburn 2010 or Alabama 2009 because they were the UNDEFEATED NCs!!!

Got Dayum.

2011 Bama
2011 LSU
2004 Auburn
2008 Florida
2009 Bama
2010 Auburn
2003 LSU
2012 Bama
2006 Florida
2002 Georgia

I think the two 2011 teams were the best, they demolished everyone on the schedule, their only losses were to each other.

What I find interesting is that you can make arguments for 2001 Florida or 2001 Tennessee being one of the best SEC teams of the decade, but a 3 loss LSU team won the SEC that year.

Yeah…and what a tough game it was. They gave you problems for two quarters before you pulled away from them. When people see the final score of that game (42-10), they usually won't give you any sympathy.
