What's funny is most SEC states have state laws involving NIL that will restrict them to some degree even if the NCAA can't enforce rules.
But one state has no NIL legislation on the books at all and will be free to do whatever they want with NIL deals if the one NCAA regulation on NIL is knocked down by the courts.
And that's the state of Alabama.
Good work Tennessee. You're enabling Bama's next CFB run due to being idiots.

Not to mention how detrimental and inconsistent they've been with waivers and suspensions of players. Remember the Missouri tutor? Or the kid who wanted to be closer to home cause mom had cancer?
NCAA can get fricked. College athletics will survive without them if it comes to that.
Remember Kristian Fulton? About the only damn thing Alleva did right was realizing they used may instead of shall in the penalty verbiage. They next few years are gonna get really interesting.

Fk you and your crocodile tears. The playing field is being levelled, and you don't like it. You won't have the NCAA to cover for you anymore.

"Well guess what? Tennessee has more money than UGA, than GUMP, than OSU. So now it's our turn. Athletes WILL get paid at UT. UT is leading the way, and the athletes know this.
Get in the back of the bus, NIL is our time".
Now where have I heard this kind of talk before??
Hmmm...oh yeah, little brother. That has worked out famously so far, no doubt.

You say this as if others weren’t able to pay them too.

You can’t even keep your story straight.

You keep proving that you don't understand what pay to play is. You're not smart enough to even realize how stupid your posts make you look on this subject.

Again, you seem incapable of separating NIL from recruiting.

Unfortunately for you, there won't be anyone left to hear your whinings, and forever people will laugh at you about how you paid a QB a million dollars and then turned around and accused someone else of 'pay to pay'.

Mostly a lurker on here for several years, but I comment on rare occasion.
But as you clutch tightly to your diatribe and defensiveness, I couldn't help be recall others recently touting purely money bags as all they have to offer, and so far they have end up looking like they receive much less ROI than their $ should indicate.
But good luck. May you be blessed by exactly what you deserve...

Tennessee deserves to own Texas, as we saved your asses from the hordes.
Someone had to do it, you weren't going to.

Enjoy your two year postseason ban. Who is your second string QB? Because he will be your starter when Nico is ruled ineligible. So you may not even win enough games to be bowl eligible anyway.

We appreciate all who died helping for our Independence, and we appreciate you being jerks enough to Davey Crockett and your former Governor Sam Houston, that they left for opportunity in Texas. San Houston may have been born in Virginia, but becoming Governor of Tennessee (with the help of then General Andrew Jackson) was impressive, and to become the winner of the decisive battle at San Jacinto, and then our First Republic of Texas President showed his quality.
I wish you had a little of his class and humility...

If Tennessee and Virginia prevail in this lawsuit, which seems like they will, the NCAA will be powerless to do any of this. Are you just trying to wishcast this into existence because you don't like Tennessee? This pending lawsuit can and will likely neuter the NCAA whether you agree with it or not.

I believe there will be a means to enforce rules in college athletics.
I do not believe that every school will just be allowed to do anything they want.
You believe otherwise based on lawsuits that have not concluded yet.
We will see who is right.
Membership in the NCAA is voluntary. And since the NCAA owns the basketball tournament, the college world series, and the CFP; I think most schools will continue to want to be a part of it and abide by it’s rules.
Maybe Tennessee will decide to not be a part of it.

So basically Tennessee is back, and when we are done Alabama will take back over, and Oklahoma, Texas and Missouri will never sniff the playoffs?
Got it. We take that.
Got it. We take that.
