LSU has 2 more recent titles in both football and baseball than UTrans
Of course, LSU has more overall titles in both sports too.

As much as I want to tell you they are overrated, I can’t just yet. They are not as good as the 2023 team, but they are better than last years team and will be hell to beat.
I feel like they don’t have quality depth at pitching but they are decent fielding and a good hitting team. Are they the #2 team in the country? Prolly not! But there record and their name has them as the #2 team in the country for time being.

I said quality depth! Your starting rotation on the weekend has a combined era of 3.88. Your pitching rotation gave up 16 runs in 3 games to one of the worst teams in the country, Missouri.

While you’re a good hitting team, you don’t have a lot of power outside a few guys. Your #11 in slugging, #21 in homeruns. These numbers are based off playing Mizzou and teams like them. Let’s see what happens when you have to face good pitching?

I'm sure you've watched every LSU game too, right? With the majority of them being in massive winds blowing in?
LSU leads the SEC in BA and doubles by a significant margin.
LSU is top 3 in runs scored, RBIs and OB% while still Top 5 in SLG% and walks.
LSU is #2 in strikeouts.
Why a Gump is even in a baseball conversation is beyond me

You do realize that regardless of what any of us fans expect, none of us have any bearing on the outcome, right? lol
I would love for LSU to win the series 2-1, but certainly don’t “expect” it. Regardless of what I “expect” or “hope” won’t have any impact on what transpires in Austin this weekend.
