I don't care about the non-revenue aspect, I just think the pearl clutching is hilarious. If LSU cheats in one sport, but not in another, no big deal! Yet if VOLS cheat in one sport, but not in another, they are irredeemable classless harlots, deserving of national shame. I just ask you to be consistent.

Let’s just throw out the year BaseVOLS kicked LSUs arse 5 times :). Including the super regional with Omaha on the line and LSU choked.

excuse me? I think everyone cheats in basketball and football. Those sports are driven by money, so of course there will be cheating. There always has been and always will be. Baseball, and other non-revenue driven sports, that isn't the case. It's happened, sure, but it's not commonplace like it is in basketball and football. SO yes, you will get more scrutiny from others when you do it in a sport like baseball. And you'll get even more scrutiny when you act like Vitello has. You know this, regardless of whether you're willing to say it on here

Scrutiny is expected. I am always of the opinion that if you talk shite, you put yourself in a position to get hit. That’s fine with me. frick around and find out and all that. That’s why I usually let others make the predictions and I kept my mouth shut

I agree with this 100% and that's pretty much been what all my UT friends have said to me IRL re this situation. I'm from and live in TN so I have plenty of anecdotal experience with UT fans, and, in fairness, they're nothing like the shitposting UT fans on this board. They're just happy to be good at sports again

Choked? LSU was the #2 seed in the Eugene regional and played in Knoxville in the super regionals against a national seed. I wouldn't exactly call that choking. I'd say the result of that series was expected. LSU wasn't very good in 2021, barely making the NCAAT in a year where Mainieri announced his retirement due to him not producing commensurate with the expectations at LSU
