The Big 12 is in the video. There was a 20 year gap between the end of the SWC and TCU joining the Big 12. Not a player or student at Texas was born yet when the SWC existed, hell most of their parents don’t even remember it
I remember well going as a kid in 1988 to watch Texas play TCU in Amon Carter Stadium. I just looked at the box score. Attendance was 29,083. An unranked Texas squad who had been beaten at home the week prior by University of Houston 66-15 eked out a win over the the Frogs.
The Cash Brothers and Eric Metcalf carried the day. Both teams would finish with losing records and not be invited to a bowl game.

TCU is a far more successful Football program than Texas A&M.
TCU has not beaten A&M in football since 1972. A&M owns the over all at 56-29.
UTrans on the other hand has lost to TCU 8 times out of their last 12 meetings.

Maybe not all-time. Let's just limit it to the past 50 years or so, or at least after scholarship limitations in the '70s. This is the common benchmark for the "modern college football era". Deal?

Royal was correct with his belief about TCU. Aggy is slipping into the TCU roll in the SEC. When you read the quote below, you'll understand why aggy is the new TCU...
"TCU is like roaches, it ain't so much what they eat, but what they spoil."

We have beaten them 24 times in a row. The last time being in 2001.
Utrans on the other hand....

All I've got to say is: have fun filling up your high school sized stadium now that neither team will come to Fort Worth and put butts in the seats. So long and good night froggy.

What movie is that from?
I’ll give you the real answer since you’re going to get shite in the rest of them(Toy Story).

And y’all accuse Texas of hiding behind an all-time record

No leather helmets, scholarship limitations, and Centre College is no longer a powerhouse. Seems reasonable.
You can "LOL" all you like, but the harsh reality is that TU doesn't look all that different from A&M after the Vietnam War.
And I don't really know from where all this bravado comes. Outside of last season, you clowns got your arse owned in the Big XII in the last decade.

Yeah, Texas has been pretty half arse the last decade but they also won a national championship and played for another. They did this while A&M was a member of the Big 12.
Where is A&M's championship in the modern era?

Assuming your are talking about football, TU's title was in 2005. When the sun sets on their inaugural SEC season that will be 20 years ago, not the in the last decade.
Given that you are too illiterate to know the definition of a decade, that's 4 lustrum.

What a strange stance for Aggy to take.
TCU has been a better program than Texas this century, and also 10x a better program then A&M.

LOL.
It is funny how this "modern era" thing keeps morphing.
Growing up in the '60s and '70s... the "modern era" was routinely described as post WWII... that was pretty standard and accepted by pretty much everyone.
This is because the war disrupted college football in a big way and things normalized after it was over.
Nowadays... the WWII demarcation has completely faded and given way to other interpretations of the "modern era... full integration, scholarship limitations, implementation of the BCS, and so on.
and now you are bumping it up to "this century"...
You are making me feel my arthritis with that one.

That is pretty damn weak sauce.

You realize that Texas a&m has the same bravado despite less accomplishments, less success in the exact same league (their SEC winning percentage is actually higher) and having just watched Texas finish 2023 with better standing than any aggie team in the last 85 years right?
Poor aggies

To TCU, we said this news first broke. The same applies to OU.
