Also the concept of having to play an additional game against a major conference foe is designed to accommodate games like us playing Texas every year. So its kinda relevant.

Why would A&M ever schedule Texas?
A&M is everything Texas wishes it could be.
A&M has the history of winning BCS bowls and national titles in the modern era of college football. Texas has nothing.
College Station is a much better place to live than Austin.
No reason for the Aggies to throw the Longhorns any scraps from their table.
