I have a cattle ranch in Bryan County, Oklahoma. There is a statue to Confederate Soldiers at the courthouse in Durant.

Oh and as the Cross Canadian Ragweed song goes,

"Well, them ****s down there in Norman
They got a kinky streak
Well, they ain't allowed to roll their own
Their Sooner wrists are too weak
They'll sure start to puffin'
If you stick one in their beak
Them ****s down in Norman
Got a kinky streak"

Hate that Turnpike broke up though.

They are back together and touring. Just had to wait on the lead singer to get his shite together.

That's actually pretty badass if true.

I've spent some time in Allen, Texas, which seems to only be about an hour away from there.

Yeah I like it here. I fish Lake Texoma probably 3 days a week, hunt, baby my cattle and smoke my smoke and am left alone. Good enough for me.

They are OSU fan's. Just salty because OU dominates them. OU has 90 wins and 19 losses to OSU. I hope they keep playing so OU can get to 100 wins.

Turnpike Troubadours play east of the Mississippi often. They have shows coming up in Alabama, Georgia, South Carolin, North Carolina, and Florida.

I think the sentiment is about so-called "red-dirt" bands in general. Sure, everything is as national as it wants to be.

I recall seeing Cross Canadian and Jason Boland and the Stragglers, Pat Green, Stoney LaRue etc back in the late 1990s in Fayetteville at George's Majestic.

I've seen Boland all over Texas and Oklahoma, back in the day.

Until red dirters hit it big, they really stick to Texas, Oklahoma, and western Arkansas.

We're always in their heads so much they have to memorialize it in songs about Big Bro.

Didn’t know that! Glad Evan got it together. Really is a good dude. Just some bad decisions.
