OU, I'm proud of you boys so far in this thing.

I'm sure I'll hate you with a passion in a few more years, but until then,

If you’re talking Red Dirt you’ve got the wrong school.

Down on Washington is about Okstate. I saw them 4 times in college a king with Cross Canadian, Damn Quails, Jason Boland.

Can you even backroad in Norman?!

Tahlequah was one of only a handful of Oklahoma towns that had monuments to the confederate dead.

There is more legacy to the old south in Oklahoma than most southerners might think due to the tribes being involved in the war. There was quite a bit of in fighting among the tribes during the war.

There were a few monuments, a couple of confederate cemeteries and there was a confederate veterans nursing home that was run by the Chickasaw Tribe.

There is also a confederate museum in Oklahoma. It is private and is in the same small town as the Tiger King guy's operation was located. From what I understand the Confederate veteran museum guy gives the Tiger King guy a run for his money as far as being crazy goes.

I floated the Illinois river there in the 70’s, that’s all I know about it.

The Red Dirt bands used to always hit Fayetteville, but hardly ever went east of Little Rock.

It's certainly a west of the Mississippi river thing.

Are we about to start that “Turnpike Troubadours sounds like Tyler Childers” thing again?

This maps geographical locations suck. They have Tennessee in Chattanooga, Oklahoma in eastern Oklahoma, Oklahoma state in northwest Oklahoma, Texas a&m in Houston and I guess that's Baylor in san Angelo?

Hate that Turnpike broke up though. I dated their bass players niece for a while and got to see some pretty funny stuff. Lead singer kinda lost himself after Miranda Lambert left him.

It’s called GeoPoetic License, you tit. And I made that term up.

And from an “achyually” post like that, you’d think you’d try to appear smart….but no.
