True, lost to App State last year, Muschamp has lost to worse teams than that. Sure we have more talent but they would have better coaching and will to win. Our players spend more time taunting than they do trying to actually win the game, and celebrating INT's down 20+ points.

SC had a freshman QB that was hurt 1/2 thru the season vs UGA. Only won 1 game after his injury.

People have short memories.

Would or could?

Could they? Yeah. I'd give them fighting odds against a good chunk of the SEC this year. The Sunbelt, recently, tends to produce one or two teams that can absolutely stand in there and trade with the big boys.

Would they? Enh. I lean towards not. They have a very good Sunbelt team this year. But their big win was ULL.

I think ULL was a bit over rated this year. They beat Iowa State but they were taken to the wire by Georgia State and Georgia Southern. Sooner or later you are going to lose one of those nail biters.

Let me put it this way. If Coastal Carolina walked the dog on USC this year then fire Muschamp before he gets off the field. This isn't a first year rebuild. There is no excuse to lose to a Sunbelt team this late in your coaching tenure at an SEC school unless its the hands down best team out of the Sunbelt for a decade.

Just because CC beat the best team in Louisiana, doesn't mean they'd beat the 2nd best team in South Carolina.

They are the 2nd best now

Something TN doesn’t have to worry about since all the other schools in the state are bush league

And even one of those Bush League schools has played in a BCS/NY6 Bowl more recently than UTK

Even with a 5’9 290lbs center, I say true.
Depends on how many Dawgs their new HC has on the roster.

And, this thread seems familiar: Which program is in a better state: UTk or Coastal Carolina

SC vs. CCU was supposed to be the first game of the season. Would have been an interesting game it appears.

I wish we were mediocre last year.

Plus..both of those were ranked or bowl teams.

Try again, chief.
