We didn't deserve to go to a bowl that year. That was a bad, bad football team we had. I thank our dark lord everyday that we lost La. Tech to open up the next season.

Not even close. He DID take us to a bowl game, and there are a lot of SEC coaches that haven't done that.

I don't think he was a good coach, he was just not the worst. If he changed just one thing--not be so stubborn on running HIS offense--then we could have been fairly successful under him. Plus, Croom insisted on recruiting smaller but quicker offensive linemen to block in a power running game.

bad team or not yall won 8 games curly wishes he could win 8 games.

plus winning at LSU should be easier than at state so that makes curly a bigger failure.

ed o should also be in the discussion with curly and croom.

personally to me its curly because that stupid frick ruined my early childhood with losses. I still hope horrible things happen to him.

Another vote for Curly here as worst coach.

My first ever game in tiger stadium: 1991 vs florida. i remember (i was in 8th grade) thinking how loud it was when we got a first down. i don't remember scoring, because we didn't. That was his first year, and that was his best year.

He won TWO GAMES- the worst in LSU HISTORY- in 1992 (modern day). Although i will argue Dinardo's 1999 season was rock bottom as well, hallman was the worst coach in lsu history

Close, but believe it or not there are worse. Curly Hallman and Ed O, for example, never had an 8-5 season and never made a bowl game.

Curly literally is the worst coach in LSU history, and a very good contender for worst in SEC history. The man was god awful.

the highlight of curly era games for me was eating at the ground patty after the game with my dad. the best was the 58-3 stomping uf gave us in 93. interestingly enough the year before we only lost 28-21 in the swamp

the only good i remember from that era was the 93 win over bama.

curly is defiantly one old guy that id punch in the face and not feel bad about it at all.

Curley's record at LSU: 16-28
Result of Curley's first game at LSU: Georgia 31, LSU 10
Curley's best win at LSU: 1993 LSU 17, Alabama 13 (at BDS)
Curley's worst loss at LSU: 1993 Florida 58, LSU 3 (worst loss in school history)
Curley's best record in four years at LSU: 5-6

Curley's next football head coaching job after refusing to resign and getting fired by LSU .....

Muscle Shoals High School, in 2004.
